Simply Stampin' Challenge week 3

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last weeks colour challenge at Simply Stampin' challenge, the standard of entries was very high and I enjoyed looking at the projects.

This week our new challenge at Simply Stampin' is Easter, so this one should be a little easier as we start to get those last minute cards and gifts made.

I have gone for some bright and zingy colours Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango.  Of course I had to use A Good Egg stamp set too!!

I have stamped and coloured the chicks with the blender pens, then layered them up with the square punches, the background of the card was stamped with the dots from the set in Tangerine Tango ink. A length of Daffodil Delight satin ribbon and a punched greeting made this a fast card to make.  I used some Brights designer paper to make my sour cream holder, filled with mini eggs and then I used the crimper tool to seal the ends.

This basket is really easy to make and will hold 3 cream eggs, I also stamped the tissue paper to match. I will add the eggs just before I give it away as I'm sure those little fingers will be looking for chocolate next week!!

I do hope you can join us at Simply Stampin' this week - there is a top three blinkie to be won and the chance to win some fabulous Stampin' Up! goodies at the end of the month!!  You only need to use one Stampin' Up! product and you can make anything you choose - cards, 3D items, scrapbook pages.  There are some beautiful projects from the design team again this week, you can see them here.

A Good Egg

I thought I would share some of the Easter projects I have made this week using A Good Egg stamp set.  I made three of each colour of this design for my sister.

I have stamped the chick on to So Saffron card and then again on to a scrap of gorgeous Sweet & Sour DSP, I then cut them both out without the legs, I then stamped the chick on to Very Vanilla card and layered my cut pieces.  The card above is Rose Red with some more of the lovely Sweet & Sour DSP, I used the scallop boarder trim punch for the edges, making a flat bow with some gorgeous satin ribbon. I stampped a sentiment below the chick and added one of the flower brads with a rhinestone for a little sparkle.

This card is made the same as the one above, the colour is Pumpkin Pie, with a similar paper from the Sweet & Sour DSP.  My ssister was really pleased with them, I just need to get a few more made for my self.

Team Training

I have had a very busy but enjoyable weekend spending all day on Saturday at my lovely Stampin' Up! Mummy's (Jules) first all day training event!!  We all had a great time chatting swapping and of course crafting - I will show the projsects we made tomorrow!!

One of the best things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the friendship and support from all of the team members and the beautiful swaps we share to inspire each other.  We used "Love" as the theme for our swaps, this is my card.

I have used Basic Black card with some of the 12x12 Neutrals paper stack papers again in basic Black with lots of gorgeous Very Vanilla satin ribbon, ruffled to give a luxurious look to the card.  I have used the Artistic Etchings stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink, punched and layered with a sparkly rhinestone.

Some of us also took part in a card candy swap, making a variety of toppers using a stamp set and punches. I have recieved some beautiful card candy swaps,  andwill post some pictures during the week. This is my set of card candy.

I have used A Good Egg stamp set, as I will be using this set in my classes soon!!  The images are so cute, I have added dazzling diamonds glitter to them for extra sparkle and some pearls as they complement the subltle colours perfectly.  I have used a lot of my punches to make this set and the flowers remind me of  brightly coloured daffodils swaying in the breeze!  The colours are Pear Pizzaz, Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait and Daffodil Delight.

We had a great day at Jule's training day then some of us went out for tea afterwards, I had travelled down with my lovely downline Julie and we stayed over rather than driving home late at night!

Last night I went to Margarets house to do a workshop for her and her friends. They are a lovely group and although most of them didnt craft they enjoyed their make and take project I had designed for them as a taster of what Stampin' Up! is all about.  I know many of the ladies will be looking forward to recieving their new crafty stash soon!!  Thank you Margaret for being a wonderful hostess and I hope you enjoyed the rest of  the evening with your friends.

If you would like me to demonstrate at a work shop in your home and live in North Yorkshire/Tees Valley area then why not get in touch and set a date!!

February is a great time to join my team as in addition to the already fabulous starter kit (£119 for products valued at £230) you can have an extra stamp set of any value from the catalogue FREE  -  giving you over £270 worth of fabulous products for just £119.   If you would like to arrange a no pressure chat, then contact me to find out more about how you can turn your hobby in to a successful business or just get yourself a 20% discount on some of the best craft products available!!

Well I must dash as I have a lot of catching up to do today after my busy weekend!
