What a Night...

It was a late night last night, as I watched all of the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and what a show it was!!  I thought it would be difficult to "top" the opening ceremony but I loved every minute of last night!!  It was sad to see the flame extinguished at the end of the night - but what an amazing result for team GB and the organisers of the games.

So on to my project for today, a set of mini cards and envelopes in a really quick & easy to make (no gluing) holder made with First Edition designer paper, held together with some Basic Black taffeta ribbon.

I used the pretty Bordering on Romance stamp set, stamping directly on to Sahara Sand card.  The flowers are coloured with Whisper White ink first, then with Stampin' Up! marker pens to make the flowers "pop".

I added some Crystal Effects to the buds and pearls for the flower centres, along with more Basic Black taffeta ribbon.

I won't be too far away from my computer today as I'm hanging around waiting for the Paralympic tickets to go on sale - so far I have had no luck in finding any wheelchair accessible tickets??  I guess it will be another day "on hold"!!  We will be in London while the Paralympic games are taking place so its the perfect opportunity for us to see the action?!!

Bordering on Romance Workshop

Last weekend I had a workshop with a lovely group of ladies, these are the cards we made using the Bordering on Romance stamp set.

The images were all stamped on to water colour paper and coloured with Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen using the 2012-2013 In Colours.

This is the first card we made with a lovely scalloped edge cut with the new Edgelits dies.

There was a little more work involved in making this card as we also stamped the background and added an embossed layer cut with the Labels Collection Framelits dies.

The final card has an embossed edge to match the cut edge of the Framelits dies.

Everyone had a lovely evening colouring their pretty flowers, the hostess has now received her orders including £50 worth of FREE products and a Big Shot for half catalogue price!!!!

A Special Birthday Card

Last week it was my lovely Stampin' Up! "mum's" birthday, so a special card was needed!!  I know Jules had a lovely day, and celebrated with some of the local girls form "Julies Jem's" Stampin' Up! team.

I used the Bordering on Romance stamp set, stamping on to water colour paper and coloured with Stampin' Up! marker pens & a "blender" pen. The colours are Melon Mambo, Baja Breeze and Lucky Limeade, I used the framelits dies to layer up the image, running the larger one through the polka dots embossing folder. I added some gorgeous polka dot ribbon and some pearls for the flower centres. I gave the card a spritz with some Champagne shimmer paint to add a bit of sparkle but it hasn't shown up in the photo.

Bordering on Romance

I think the Bordering on Romance set is my favourite set form the Summer mini catalogue - the images are so pretty and perfect for colouring  too.

For this card I used the Edgilits die to cut the Whisper White card, then I embossed it with the Adorning Accent folder that matches the curve of the design.  I covered my card base with the lovely green leafy design paper from the Twitterpated papers, then I stuck the white on top. The branches and buds are stamped on to the white edge and the flowers have been stamped and coloured then cut out and layered with dimensionals, I added some small pearls to the flower centres. This card need something to finish it, so I added a ruffle of Pear Pizzaz seam binding.

I made a couple of Pillow Boxes using a Bigz die and wrapped them with some pretty Twitterpatted paper, then I tied them together with some Pear Pizzaz seam binding and a scrap of Victoria crochet trim.

If you would like to order a pack or two (just in case?!) of the gorgeous Twitterpated papers - now is a great time to take advantage of the June "Paper Party" offer from Stampin' Up!.

Buy three packs of 12 x 12 designer papers and recieve a fourth pack FREE - shipping is £4.95 direct to your door no matter where you live in the UK but if you can collect your order from me postage will be at a special rate of £1 contact me to place your order.

A late Class.....

This is a class I held a couple of weeks ago I have only just realised that I forgot to share the projects on my blog.

I used the gorgeous projects we made at a Stampin' Up! training day held by my upline Jules  in April.

The projects are stamped with the pretty Bordering on Romance stamp set and coloured with the Stampin' Up! marker pens.

We made this lovely gift bag that can hold several cards and envelopes.

I think everyone enjoyed colouring in the flowers, this is a lovely set to use if you like to colour images in.

I knew the colouring in would take quite a while to finish, so I showed the ladies the same bag made up with some Twitterpated designer paper.

I have two more classes this week so I will share the projects soon.
