Convention Swap 2

One of the nicest things about spending time with fellow demonstrators at convention is the sharing of ideas and inspiration and whenever we get to gether we exchange our ideas by swapping cards and small gifts.

I made a small treat for this "swap" using mini candy canes as my inspiration.

I used Poppy Parade card for the base and the scalloped border punch along the folded edge with a strip of co-ordinating paper from the In Colour paper stack in Poppy Parade. I used Pool Party, Poppy Parade and Chocolate Chip marker pens to colour the sentiment from the fabulous Tags Til Christmas stamp set, this was then punched out with the Scalloped Square punch and fixed to the topper with a dimensional.  A mini candy cane was tied with a some Pool Party ruffled ribbon and placed in to a clear bag and the folded top was taped into place.

I will share my Team Swap soon!!

Greenhouse Gala Class

Last week I held the first one of my new classes based around the beautiful Greenhouse Gala papers.  I designed cards, scrapbook layouts and a matching bag in a box for inspiration.

We did have some stamping using the Ornate Flowers stamp set and the co-ordinating Ornate Blossom background stamp.

The sentiments are from the perfect Punches stamp set - along with the co-ordinating punches and a little bit of bling!

This bright card was so quick and easy to re-create with the Big Shot, simply putting a piece of the paper in the Square Lattice embossing folder and layering it with the Eyelet Border punch.

A gret card to use up some of the "off-cuts" and scraps of paper.

The flowers were cut out and stuck on to Whisper white card, then it was embossed using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  The ribbon was ruffled along double sided tape.

It was lovely to see so many different cards and bags made from the same kit - I know my ladies enjoyed working with their kits and of course having a few extra goodies to take home with them!!

I have my October classes planned, we will be making a variety of cards, small treat bags and boxes suitable for  either Christmas or Halloween the choice is yours!!  If you would like to purchase a kit to make the projects at home I will be including instructions for the boxes and treat bags - £15.00 delivered to you.  I will update my blog with the kits as soon as I can order some of the kit contents from the new catalogue - so many lovely new products coming soon!!!

Simply Stampin' Challenge 25

Thank you to everyone who entered our "Flutterrby Butterfly" challenge last week there were some beautiful creations - butterflies are a popular choice!

This week at Simply Stampin' challenge we have a fabulous sketch for your inspiration.

I have had another "play" with my brayer and ink this week to create the background for my card, then I sprayed it with Champagne Shimmer paint. I used a Basic Grey ink pad to stamp the gorgeous image from Just Believe stamp set,

I layered it with some Perfect Plum paper from the 12 x 12 subtles paper stack, punching the Eyelet border on the Perfect Plum mat I used Concorde Crush for the base card.  I cut strips of paper and card to lay across the card and a button instead of a sentiment.

I have been really busy designing and planning future classes and projecs using some of the fabulous new products Stampin' Up! make available to demonstrators before the release of the new catalogue.  There is still time to order from the current 2010-2011 catalogue!!

A Mini Thank You

Earlier this month I held a Mini Catalogue launch party to share the wonderful new products now available from Stampin' Up!.  As a little "Thank You" for my customers placing an order I made some small thank you cards and decorated chocolate orange discs using the fabulous new Owl punch.

I love these gorgeous bright and cheerful Sunny Garden papers for my cards with the sentiment from the Oval All stamp set, using the scalloped oval and large oval punch to layer them up.

The Owl punch is sooo cute and very much "on trend" right now as I have seen so many shops selling owl themed products.  I used a scalloped circle for my base for the chocolates, then punched the owls and used Tombow glue to stick them together.  This punch is a perfect way to use some of my scraps!!

If you would like to order an Owl punch or anything else from the new Mini Catalogue please contact me - need a copy of the mini catalogue to browse then drop me an email and I will post a copy to you.

Hopefully I will have some more Owl projects to share with you soon!!
