A Week to Celebrate

It has been another very busy week for me as my Mum celebrated her 70th Birthday yesterday, a birthday tea with family and friends with of course lots of presents and a lovely cake!!

This is the special card I made for my Mum, the Memorable Moments stamp set is a "must have" as it is perfect for special birthdays and anniversaries. I made some bunting to match this card but I didn't manage to take a photo yesterday - I will try & take one over the weekend when I'm there. I used the Pistachio Pudding re-inker to dye some Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon to match my project.

I have used some of the gorgeous NEW Stampin' Up! colours, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe, not long to wait until the new Stampin' Up! catalogue launches on 2nd July!!!!!!!!

Another celebration this week was for my lovely Lucy - I nominated her for an award through The Children's Foundation and we took her to Newcastle on Wednesday to collect her award.  Lucy is always very patient and helpful with Philip and she always plays with him, even when I know she would rather do something else. I never wanted Lucy to have so much responsibility for Philip but the sad fact of life is that she does and she does a great job of taking care of him.

Lucy also came home today from school with a "Star of the Week" award for "being a wonderful and caring member of her class".  I'm really proud of her, she is growing up so fast and will soon be leaving primary school.  

We had a letter to inform us that her new school has been chosen to be filmed for a documentary for CBBC following the transition from primary to secondary school - when she visited Conyers yesterday the children were  interviewed & had their photographs taken. This is a long term project filming over several months with fixed cameras around school and it will be shown next summer to help children to feel more confident about moving schools.

The Best of 25 Years

Today is the launch of the new Best of 25 Years monthly stamp set collection.

Each month until October their will be a new collection released containing a selection of  favourite stamps from different stamp sets from the past 25 years. 

June is the Best of Flowers 

Each set will also contain a "never before seen" image - this month it is the daisy image that fits the 1 1/4" scallop circle punch.

Razzleberry Splash Workshop

Last weekend I held an all day Stampin' Up! workshop for a lovely group of ladies, it was lovely to welcome Edina and Emma to their first workshop. We made several projects throughout the day using the Razzleberry Splash Simply Scrappin' kit this lovely A5 tin filled with cards was the favourite project of the day.

The ladies had their own goody bags containing everything needed to make the projects and more!

These are some of the cards from my tin, I added sentiments to my cards as I wanted to complete my set but most of the ladies made up a selection of of sentiments that could be added to their cards when needed.

We used the exclusive Stampin' Up! Sizzix envelope die to make the mini envelope with vellum card, this contains an assortment of sentiments.

The morning soon whizzed by as we enjoyed delicious home baked cookies and cake while crafting - "what a perfect day"!!  Of course we had to stop for lunch and probably another coffee break or two. If you would like to join the next workshop contact me for more details.  

I'm sure this tin filled with cards will make a lovely gift although I think I will be holding on to mine!! It is always lovely to see how different everyone's projects turn out and next time I will take a few pictures to share before the end of the workshop.   I will share the remaining projects from the workshop next time.

Stampin' Up Papillon Potpourri

I have been busy working my way through a a long list of cards I have orders for, in the hope I will finish them early so I can make a good start on my teacher gifts, organised?! I hope to be!!

This is a pretty card using the lovely Papillion Potpourri stamp set with the co-ordinating punches, I used my Stampin' Up! markers to colour the butterflies, adding some tiny pearls at the top of the wings. I love the flower trim in the Spring & Summer catalogue, it's perfect for adding a little colour to with the marker pens - I hope we will see this in the new catalogue in July, if not I know I will need to add an extra pack to my order. The sentiment was created on my computer.

Card Keeper

This is a project I first saw on Pinterest and in an effort to be more organised this year I decided to make one to keep the many cards I make in one place ready to send.

I changed the measurements to fit the Stampin' Up! envelopes I used and I decided on a worn vintage look to the card keeper by using Crumb Cake & Soft Suede ink to distress the edges of the paper.

The dividers were made using many different stamp sets, colouring the word I wanted for my title with a marker pen.
