Autumn Birthday Gift Set .......

I have made this set to give to my friend who is celebrating her Birthday this week (I know she doesn't read my blog!!), This set is nothing at all like what I had in mind when I set out to make her card last night - I was thinking of a really rich purple????

I have made a very easy gift bag from just one sheet of 12x12 paper, with a matching card, using some of the gorgeous Sweet Pea designer 12x12 paper and a selection of flowers and beads from the Pretties Kit and some of my favourite ribbon. The colours are So Saffron Soft Suede and Whisper White.

I have used my Stampin' Write marker with the blender pen to colour the flowers as they are white, so perfect to match in with any of your projects!!  The gem brads and pearls are also in the Pretties Kit.

A close up of the card front, with the beaded pin made from some of the beads in the Pretties Kit.  I tied two of the tiny tags stamped in So Saffron around the ribbon knot. The papers are also from the Sweet Pea designer paper stack.

September is the month of the Last Chance List from Stampin' Up! These products will not be available after 30th September, so if there is anything you would like contact me as soon as possible to place your order, I will be placing an order later today.

I made a bag with a set of cards & envelopes to go inside, perfect for a last minute gift!! The colours are Taken with Teal (only available until the end of September), Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink, I have used these colours as are they are the colours from the Sweet Pea designer paper stack I have used to make the gift bag.

The bag is a fair size when complete, you could put some chocolates or jewellery inside??

The Trendy Trees stamp set is on offer during Agust and is just £10.36, if you would like to place an order for this set please contact me for further details.

We had a lovely day yesterday - we drove to Whitby to catch the North Yorkshire Moors Steam train, stopping off along the way at Grosmont so Philip could see more steam engines before continuing to Pickering. We got the last train back to Whitby as the weather was beautiful, making a nice change!! We stayed for fish & chips in Whitby and a walk along the harbour, the evening sun was beautiful as we watched the mist hanging along the bottom of the cliffs along the bay.  Fingers crossed for some more sunny days, Lucy wants to go to the Maize Maze??

Sweet Pea Felt Shopper .......

I am not usually a fan of sewing, even having to sew a button back on drives me mad, although I did many fine and complex cross stitch and hardanger desgins before leaving it all neglected in a box in the loft!!   Last night I thought I would finally do something with this cotton shopping bag I bought a while ago, using some of this gorgeous Sweet Pea stitched felt from Stmpin' Up!

I  stitched a length of rose red stitched grosgrain ribbon across the front of the bag, then I put the felt on the top of it, sewing everything in place once I was happy with the design. I decided I would use one of the stamps from the Sweet Pea stamp set to stamp below the ribbon using old olive and rose red ink, I am quite pleased with the result and it only took around half an hour to put together!!

I will definately be ordering some more of this stitched felt, it is so pretty and has so many uses too, exceptional value at £6.50 for approx 52 pecies avaialable from the new mini catalogue until 30th September.

Don't forget about my paper and ribbon share, it has been very popular. If you would like to place an order to get some of the new colours now for just £9.95 including posting and packing, this is a one off payment and a one off commitment please e-mail me asap.

I have finally got around to inking this cute stamp I bought a few weeks ago at the Harrogate Paercrafts show!!  She is coloured in bright cheerful colours to match the gorgeous Sweet Pea papers from Stampin' Up!, I just can't stop using them!!  I have added some Sweet Pea stitched felt, the ribbon is from my stash.

Vintage Vogue Set ......

Today I have another little set created with the new Vintage Vogue stamp, I love using this set!! The gorgeous papers are from the Sweet Pea designer paper stack, yes I love those too!!!

I have stamped the decorative vine, then stamped the flowers using the "rock n roll" technique, then I have cut them out and layered them up with diamensionals. I have used the scalloped border punch and the reverse of the paper for the decorative strip, and added faux stitching too.

I have made a box in a bag, so easy to, I think I will have to make another for my friends birthday next week!!  I have used the same Sweet Pea paper, adding faux stitching around the scalloped base of the bag.  I have used the tab punch to make a fastener, colouring the ribbon to match.

I am joining in with
Allsorts challenge 48 "In Stitches"

The weather has been beautiful here today, I just wish it was a little hotter!!!
We found out yesterday that Philip has got a place for September at the local primary school that Lucy attends, it is such an achievement for him after his rocky start in life - this is more than I ever
dared hope for!!

Another gorgeous felt flower from the Sweet Pea collection for the little pocket on the front of the bag, I think it would be perfect to pop a gift card inside!!
