What a Day!!

I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the lovely ladies who attended our first Papercraft Extravaganza, Julie and myself had a fantastic day!!

This was how everything looked at the start of the day.

Judith and Margaret waiting to get started on their projects.

I designed a variety of different collections of projects for the day using the Nursery Suite papers and accent stickers. I wanted to show the ladies just how many projects they could make with the kit provided.   I still have some left after making all of these projects!

I produced a set of instructions for my projects allowing the ladies to work at their own pace throughout the day.

Jayne, Ruth and Margaret busy with their creations.

It was lovely to see so many differnt versions of these projects created yesterday, there are some very talented ladies in the group.

Our next all day Papercraft Extravaganza is on Saturday July 9th 2011.

New Baby Card No.2

This is the second baby card of the week, this is for one of Philip's classroom assistants, who will leave at Easter to haver her baby.

The colours are Real Red, Old Olive, Pacific Point and Bashful Blue, a contrast to the neutral cards I made earlier. I used the Party This Way stamp set for the bunting which is cut out and layered up, "baby" is stamped using using the Just Perfect alphabet set with linen thread to finish it off. I used the Scallop Trim boarder punch for the edge of the Whisper White card and some tiny basic pearls, a strip of bright Celebration paper and quick accent stickers made this areally quick and simple card.

New Baby

I thought I would get ahead with the new baby cards I need over the coming weeks - my box of cards is looking quite sparse, so I might just make a few more of this design to keep on hand.

I have used my new Bundle of Love stamp set for this card, stamped in Crumb Cake ink on to Very Vanilla card, layered with the double sided Crumb Cake papers from the 12x12 paper stack - terrific value at £15.95 for 40 sheets thats less than 40p a sheet!!!  I have punched and layered the sentiment adding a couple of pearls, a really quick and simple card!!

I have another version of this card with a matching box for the teachers at school to sign for one of Philip's teaching assistants so I will share that one soon.

If you would like to earn FREE stamps like this set above or any of the other stamp sets in the catalogue, then why not contact me to find out more about starting your own successful business with Stampin' UP!

Spring Class

I have just realised I didn't share the projects from one of my recent classes.  In this class we decided to use some pretty spring colours and flowers.

The colours are So Saffron, Soft Suede and Regal Rose.  I showed the ladies how to do 2-step stamping and they really enjoyed this technique, the results are very impressive from the Greenhouse Garden stamp set.

The card uses the small square punch to make the window effect, along with the eyelet boarder punch.

This time we only made one card as there was a lot of cutting out of the flowers, but the basket and the triangle treat box have inspired some of them to make a start on some Easter projects!

I have been busy with prepearations for the first full day craft event, next Saturday, I'm happy to say that I think everything is going smoothly and I only have a couple of last minute checks to make and finish off the printing!!  So I'm sure I will have everything packed up soon - I do like to be organised!!

Just Believe - Springtime

I thought I would share a project I made using the beautiful Just Believe stamp set.  This is a set I got free at convention in November last year just one of the perks of being a demonstraor!!  If you would like to earn free proiducts or attend convention at Disneyland Paris this November, then contact me for an informal chat and turn your hobby into a successful business.

I used the Scallop Boarder Trim punch  for the edge of the card and the matching corner punch for the layers.  The ribbon is the lovely Daffodil Delight satin a current favourite of mine!! I added some of the small flowers from the Boho Blossom punch with a gold coloured brad for the centre. The sentiment was coloured with Stampin' Write markers and cut out and layered with diamensionals.

The triangle treat box is perfect for a small gift, and they are really quick to make. I samped and punched one of the circle images and layered it with a scalloped circle, adding another Boho Blossom flower and more of the gorgeous Daffodil Delight satin ribbon.

I have had a really busy week but you will have to wait a little longer before I can share these exciting new projects with you - another demonstrator benefit, you get to order new products before they are released for sale!  All I can say is they are definately worth waiting for!!!!

Leeds Training Day

Yesterday I went to Leeds to a Stampin' Up! training day, it was a lovely day that seemed to fly by!!!  We had a lot of fun and talked non stop about crafting, Stampin' Up!  and our excitement after seeing some of the wonderful new products coming very soon!!

Whenever demonstrators get together we share our ideas and make cards to swap for inspiration.  This is my card using the Happiness Shared stamp set, coloured with the blender pen and Stampin' Pastels, the colours are Perfect Plum, Rose Red and Very Vanilla punched with the scalloped corner  and a few small pearls for a little bling!!

I got some lovely swaps in return and I will show them tomorrow as I am now off to make the most of the sunshine and make a start on tidying up the garden after the winter.

Boy Racer Scrapbook Layout

I have been really enjoying making my scrapbook album and as I used photos of Lucy in most of my layouts so far I thought I should make something nice for Philip.

In October half term last year we went to Legoland, so I thought I would use the lovely photo's of Philip at the driving school.  Philip is utterly car mad this was his favourite ride at Lego Land.

I have used the bright and cheerful Celebrations papers and accent stickers with Pacific Point and Real Red card. I used the very versatile School Book Serif Alphabet stamp set for my titile, stamped in Paciffic Point ink on to Whisper White card, I cut each of the letters out. I had a "light bulb" moment and made a set of traffic lights for my next page using the Brights button collection.

I still need to add a pocket for journaling as every picture tells a story there is a part of it missing in these photos - Philip spent most of his time in the car trying to "park" with the man at the ride thinking he was stuck helping him to drive away again!!!  Its something I must add as I know in time these quirky moments will be forgotten.
