Cup Cake Craft Challenge's 75 ......

The challenge this week at Cup Cake Craft Challenges is to make a "matching set", this week the sponsor of the challenge is In Style Stamps.  Although my cards are not exactly the same they are made as a gift set, so I hope this counts!!

I have been working on this set for a week as a little Thank You gift for one of the kind mum's at the children's school.  During the cold snowy weather my car was off the road and I had no courtesy car either, so I was ever so grateful for the lifts to and from school!!

I used a selection of my stamps (list at end of post) and based the colours around the PM Blueberry Hill papers of which I have mixed and matched the patterns.  The images are coloured with promakers, glossy accents, stickles, ribbons, gems, charms, M/S valentine heart punch, flowers, craftwork cards sentiments and card candy.

I made a matching gift bag to put the cards and envelopes in from a sheet of A4  card covered with more of the saame PM papers, M/S valentine heart boreder punch, card candy and some gorgeous sparkly ribbon.

I will take them to school tomorrow for her as fingers crossed after another trip to the garage all seems well, I have got beyond the three day point!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx

Of course we would love to see you create a card using a Your Next Stamp image, but we also welcome projects made with other stamps.  But if you do use a Your Next Stamp stamp or stamps, you will be given 2 entries into the challenge prize draw.  The challenge runs for two weeks, so there is plenty of time for you to join us.

As always, we have 2 fabulous prizes for you to win:

Winner – one lucky winner, chosen by random.org, will win $10 in YNS Stamp Bucks (to spend on YNS stamps) and the Winner Blinkie to proudly display on their blog.

Top Pick – one lucky entry, chosen by Maylee, will win $5 in YNS Stamp Bucks (to spend on YNS stamps) and the Top Pick Blinkie to proudly display on their blog! [ You must use a YNS stamp on your creation to be eligible to win the Top Pick prize].

I have  used the Happy Days Mermaid set from Your Next Stamp for my card, I just love this image, she is so perfect to colour using promarkers.  I didn't manage to capture all of the sparkle  in this photo but I used shimmer paints on her fish tail, the cute crab is covered with glossy accents to give his shell a wet look, and I have put stickles sequin around the star fish. I have used a quickutz bubbles embossing folder for the background which I have lightly sanded to give a little more depth, the papers are an old BG set called Pheobe. I decided not to add a greeting for this card as I thought it was a fun card that could be used for more than one occassion so I will until I deciede who to send it to.

Dont forget to check out the Your Next Stamp challenge blog as the Your Next Stamp Starlets have made some beautiful cards to share with you for inspiration.

A New Baby Boy Card ......

I have made this card for the following challenges;

Create 4 Fun challenge 23, I have used Bev's nice and simple sketch.

Cupcake Challenges 72 "a baby card".

Stampin for the Weekend "new beginings".

Papertake Weekly "new Beginings"

Crazy 4 Challenges, "Polka Dot Fun"

By the Cute and Girly, something "new"

I have used the gorgeous "vintage baby" stamp from Sugar Nellie, coloured with promarkers, copic spica glitter pens, nesties, MME wild asparagus papers, DCWV c/s, ribbon, gems.

I thought I would post a picture of the snowy trees at the back of our garden, they do look lovely but getting to school was hard work today!!  I have had to put Philip into his 3 wheel pushchair and it just about managed to get through the snow but it was very slippy as there is ice under the fresh snow, if we get much more I think we will have to stay home.  I dont like driving in the snow, but as my car has been in the garage for 2 weeks, I just need it back to get around!!

We dont seem to have a problem with salt here, so I guess that is lucky, we have had days when no roads have been gritted, but again today they have gritted my road as both ways in and out are a long hill, they had filled the salt bin on the corner too, so I went out to get a little just to keep things clear for carrying Philip in and out, last week there wasn't a grain left but it was interesting to see how many had lovely clean drives while the road is packed with ice!!!  If that wasn't enough I saw a man pull up in his car in the lane at the school and get out a "large" bag and spade and fill his bag to take home!!  There are 2 schools and nursing home using the lane!!

Hope the snow is not too bad where you are, take care,

Angela  xx

I really like the bright cheerful colours of this card, I have been trying to use more of my stash before I buy any more new stash!!  I have so much that is un-used, un-inked or stamped only once that I have decided to make an effort to something with it all.

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela  xx

We have had more snow, just when I was hoping it would go!!  I'm not looking forward to the start of school as I still haven't got my car back???  :o(   It should be ready sometime this week, but it is so difficult to get around in this weather with Philip.

Its nice to see that we are all finding more time to craft again, I love to visit your blog's to see what you have made and I do apprecieate the lovely comments you leave afterr your visit.  Thanks for stopping by today,

Guest Designer for Sketch Saturady Challenge 84 ......

This is my first card of the New Year and also my first card as Guest Designer for Sketch Saturday for the month of January!!   Woooo Hooo!!!!!   This week it is design team member Simonne's turn to provide the sketch and I must say it is a wonderful sketch to work with, I have flipped the sketch for my card.

Sketch 84 is being sponsored by Your Next Stamp and Karen has very generously offered the "Shopper Fhiona" stamp set to one lucky Sketch Saturday entrant - thanks Karen!

As Karen is sponsoring this challenge and as I am a Your Next Stamp starlet I decided to use my YNS  Happy Day's Mermaid stamp set for my card, these stamps are a dream to colour with promarkers.

I have coulured my mermaid with promarkers and sakura stardust pen, I have used glossy accents for the crab and stickles stardust to edge the star fish,  emerald gems.  I have used DCWV c/s papers are K & Co Hopscotch, Victorian embossing folder for the panel, the sparkly ribbon is from my stash - I just had enough to fit this card.
