Team Training

I have had a very busy but enjoyable weekend spending all day on Saturday at my lovely Stampin' Up! Mummy's (Jules) first all day training event!!  We all had a great time chatting swapping and of course crafting - I will show the projsects we made tomorrow!!

One of the best things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the friendship and support from all of the team members and the beautiful swaps we share to inspire each other.  We used "Love" as the theme for our swaps, this is my card.

I have used Basic Black card with some of the 12x12 Neutrals paper stack papers again in basic Black with lots of gorgeous Very Vanilla satin ribbon, ruffled to give a luxurious look to the card.  I have used the Artistic Etchings stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink, punched and layered with a sparkly rhinestone.

Some of us also took part in a card candy swap, making a variety of toppers using a stamp set and punches. I have recieved some beautiful card candy swaps,  andwill post some pictures during the week. This is my set of card candy.

I have used A Good Egg stamp set, as I will be using this set in my classes soon!!  The images are so cute, I have added dazzling diamonds glitter to them for extra sparkle and some pearls as they complement the subltle colours perfectly.  I have used a lot of my punches to make this set and the flowers remind me of  brightly coloured daffodils swaying in the breeze!  The colours are Pear Pizzaz, Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait and Daffodil Delight.

We had a great day at Jule's training day then some of us went out for tea afterwards, I had travelled down with my lovely downline Julie and we stayed over rather than driving home late at night!

Last night I went to Margarets house to do a workshop for her and her friends. They are a lovely group and although most of them didnt craft they enjoyed their make and take project I had designed for them as a taster of what Stampin' Up! is all about.  I know many of the ladies will be looking forward to recieving their new crafty stash soon!!  Thank you Margaret for being a wonderful hostess and I hope you enjoyed the rest of  the evening with your friends.

If you would like me to demonstrate at a work shop in your home and live in North Yorkshire/Tees Valley area then why not get in touch and set a date!!

February is a great time to join my team as in addition to the already fabulous starter kit (£119 for products valued at £230) you can have an extra stamp set of any value from the catalogue FREE  -  giving you over £270 worth of fabulous products for just £119.   If you would like to arrange a no pressure chat, then contact me to find out more about how you can turn your hobby in to a successful business or just get yourself a 20% discount on some of the best craft products available!!

Sunny Garden Card and Gift Box

Another busy week has flashed by with so many things happening right now I dont seem to have much time for keeping my blog up to date, although I am still busy creating lots of different projects!!  This is a set I was commissioned to make, so I thought it was time for something bright and cheerful!!

I have used the Sunny Garden 12x12 papers for my card along with Daffodil Yellow and Peach Parfait card stock and ink, Daffodil Yellow satin ribbon and quite a few of the gorgeous pearls Stampin' Up! now sell.  I have used various stamp sets on this card.

I thought a "Z" card would give averyone a chance of leaving a few special words for the lady this card is for and I have made a matching keepsake box to keep this special card in.

I stamped the butterflies with the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and punched and cut them out, the flowers have been stamed with the level 1 hostess set Punch Pot Pourri, this is a set you can only get your hands on when you host a workshop with qualifing sales!! The sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set and layered with the oval punches.

This is the matching box I have made for the card to be kept in, again using the same supplies as before with more of the very pretty satin ribbon.  This ribbon is available in so many gorgeous colours, look out for my new ribbon share starting here soon!!

I'm sure my friend Jo will do a great job of creating a special album filled with photographs to give with this card.

I will show the photos of the projects we are making at my Valentines class today, of course they include chocolate!!

Just Believe Class

I had a class last Friday (eek!)  with a lovely group of ladies who love to craft!!  This month we used the beautiful Just Beleive stamp set, it is a gorgeous set, useful for so many occasions.

The colours used for this set are Rich razzleberry, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery, with some of the lovely 12x12 designer papers, ribbon and pearls.  The tea light holders are a popular choice at my classes at the moment.  The image on the card is coloured directly on to the stamp with the Stampin' write marker pens then stamped to give a lovely soft image.

All of the ladies enjoyed making this project, if you live in the Tees Valley/North Yorkshire area and would like to find out more about joining my classes please e mail me for further details.

Tonight is my new scrapbook class!! We will be making two 12x12 page layouts with the kit I have put together for this month.   I am really enjoying scrapbooking, it is something I should be doing more often with two children and so many photographs on the computer????  There are still places available for this class so if you would like to join us next month e mail me so I can order your 12x12 album and next months kit.

Monster Birthday

Today it is my "baby's" birthday - Philip is 5 today!!!!!  How could that happen??? It doesn't seem 5 minutes since he was born, never mind 5 years!!

At times he can be a little monster so I thought the Make a Monster stamp set would be the perfect choice for his card!!  I haven't made any easel cards for a while???

I have used the vibrant Celebrations12x12 papers along with Real red, Old Olive and Pacific Point card stock, I love how all of the Stampin' Up! products co-ordinate!! The Make a Monster stamp set is fabulous, there are so many possabilities as it is a two step stamping set you can create a new monster every time!!!  I think this will become one of my new favourites!!!  I have used the stamp-ma-jig to line up the Just Perfect Alphabet stamps and the extra large oval punch for Philip.  I stamped and cut out some balloons and the party this way sign and layered them on diamensionals.

Well I know my morning is going to flash by un-packing boxes of toys and putting Philip's play mobile pirate ship together so he can get on and play after school!!  Hope you have a good day!!

Bliss

Its been another busy week and although school is back I dont seem to have found much time to craft, but  I plan to get my projects planned and up to date for my classes over the weekend.  I have a special card that I must make this weekend - my "baby" will be 5 next week -  how did that happen????

I want to try out some new techniques, so this is my first "vintage/distressed" card using the FREE stamp set Bliss. Details of how to get your FREE stamps are here.

I think this is one of my favourite colour schemes - Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, so you will no doubt be seeing more cards in these colours, they are perfect for any occaion!!  I have stamped the butterfly on a peice of Baja Breeze 12x12 designer paper and spritzed the paper, tearing it at the corner and inking the edges with Early espresso ink, the flowers were stamped onto Very Vanilla and cut out with a little Dazzling Daimonds in the centres.  I stamped the beautiful filigree stamp in Crumb cake ink on to Crumb Cake card, I used distressing tool arund the edges inking them with more Early Espresso ink. Both of these layers have been spritzed with the cool spritzing tool and the marker pen to match - well I did say I would spritz anything if it kept still long enough!!!  I stamped Bliss in Early Espresso and inke the edges, addin some narrow ribbon and a cut out butterfly stamped in Baja Breeze, with some of the gorgeous self adhesive pearls for the body!!!

Look out for details of my Bundle offer with everything you need to create cards like this one.  It will include a FREE  Bliss stamp set in a choice of wood or clear mount.

Hope you like it, I would love to know what you think???  Have a lovely weekend and as the weather forecast is cold, its the perfect excuse to stay inside and craft!!!

Something Different

My lovely SU mum Julie showed me this link to some collage pictures made with many different Stampin' Up! products, well I just had to have a go at making my own version!!

I have used the square punches from Stampin' Up! to make the mats for the collage and the gorgeous polka dot paper is from the neutrals 12x12 paper stack.  I have added lots of pearls to the pieces to add a bit of glamour.  The punched cupcake is also "CASED" from Julie's Christmas card, you can see it here.

I have used the new FREE sale-a-bration stamp sets Punch Bunch and Bliss.  The colours are Pink Pirrouette, Baja Breeze, Early Expresso and Sahara Sand selected from the fabulous colour coach to compliment the pale colour of the frame.

I will give the picture to my sister when she finally comes home from hospital, she has been there since Christmas Eve, so all of her presents are still to be opened!!  She should have come home last week, but they gave her penicillin, she is very allergic to it and was wearing a red wrist band stating this, so it caused her to be very ill, we are now eagerly waiting for her to come home soon before they do any more damage!!

My sister got home today!!

Coming Soon New Scrapbooking Classes

Another late night post, I'm not sure where these holidays have gone, back to school tomorrow!!  So I paln to re-claim the house and have a really good tidy up and clear out some of the old toys!!  It Philips birthday next week, so I need to make space for a few more toys!!

I am starting my new scrapbooking classes later this month.  I have to confess that I wish I had  made more time to scrapbook as I have really enjoyed making this layout and I am going to try harder this year to make an album.

The first picture is Lucy with the snowman we built when the snow first came down at the end of  Nvember and school was closed.  The snowman is modelling one of Philip's hat and scarf sets!!

This picture is Lucy and Philip all wrapped up for an afternoon outside at Sundown Adventure Land to see Father Christmas.   I have to say it was very magical, and the Christmas themes and rides were beautiful.

I have used the Blueberry Crisp 12x12 papers, with some Not Quite Navy and Sahara Sand card,  I used the Confetti stamp set to stamp the twill and the papers are over stamped with the Serene Snowfllakes stamp set.  I have used a die cut snowflake and the eyelet boarder punch to decorate the mats.  The titles are stamped with the Just Perfect and Schoolbook Serif Alphabet stamps.

If you would like to join my scrapbooking classes e mail me for more details, we will be completing a layout each month using a different kit and using new techniques on our pages. The theme this month is Winter as I thought cold  snowy and winter pictures would work well with the beautiful Blueberry Crisp papers.

Don't forget you can get your hands on some FREE limited edition stamps from Stampin' Up! you can read all about it here

Well I better get on and sort out the mountain of card ect on my desk as there is no space left to make anything else and Mr UPS will be delivering my latest stash of Stampin' Up! goodies including some of those free stamp sets!!!
