Simply Stampin' Challenge 26

This week at Simply Stampin' challenge we have a colour theme for your inspiration.

I coloured the On a Pedestal stamp using the marker pens, using Crystal Effects for a glazed finish to the icing, with some tiny pearls. I have used the Sizzix Lots of Tags die for my stamped cake, layering it with diamensionals.  The sentiment is from the gorgeous Curly Cute stamp set, the papers are from the Neutrals 12 x 12 paper stack.

The |On a Pedestal stamp set is only available until 30th September, so if you would like to add this to your collection email me to place your order before its too late!!

We would love to see your designs this week, if you don't have the exact colour you can change it for something similar in your stash.

I have been busy working on some projects with my new Stampin' Up! stash - one of the perks of being a demonstrator is that you get to see the catalogue a month early and pre-order some of the new products!!  I will be posting sneak peaks every day next next week, as the count down starts to the new catalogue!!

Greenhouse Gala Class

Last week I held the first one of my new classes based around the beautiful Greenhouse Gala papers.  I designed cards, scrapbook layouts and a matching bag in a box for inspiration.

We did have some stamping using the Ornate Flowers stamp set and the co-ordinating Ornate Blossom background stamp.

The sentiments are from the perfect Punches stamp set - along with the co-ordinating punches and a little bit of bling!

This bright card was so quick and easy to re-create with the Big Shot, simply putting a piece of the paper in the Square Lattice embossing folder and layering it with the Eyelet Border punch.

A gret card to use up some of the "off-cuts" and scraps of paper.

The flowers were cut out and stuck on to Whisper white card, then it was embossed using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  The ribbon was ruffled along double sided tape.

It was lovely to see so many different cards and bags made from the same kit - I know my ladies enjoyed working with their kits and of course having a few extra goodies to take home with them!!

I have my October classes planned, we will be making a variety of cards, small treat bags and boxes suitable for  either Christmas or Halloween the choice is yours!!  If you would like to purchase a kit to make the projects at home I will be including instructions for the boxes and treat bags - £15.00 delivered to you.  I will update my blog with the kits as soon as I can order some of the kit contents from the new catalogue - so many lovely new products coming soon!!!

Simply Stampin' Challenge 25

Thank you to everyone who entered our "Flutterrby Butterfly" challenge last week there were some beautiful creations - butterflies are a popular choice!

This week at Simply Stampin' challenge we have a fabulous sketch for your inspiration.

I have had another "play" with my brayer and ink this week to create the background for my card, then I sprayed it with Champagne Shimmer paint. I used a Basic Grey ink pad to stamp the gorgeous image from Just Believe stamp set,

I layered it with some Perfect Plum paper from the 12 x 12 subtles paper stack, punching the Eyelet border on the Perfect Plum mat I used Concorde Crush for the base card.  I cut strips of paper and card to lay across the card and a button instead of a sentiment.

I have been really busy designing and planning future classes and projecs using some of the fabulous new products Stampin' Up! make available to demonstrators before the release of the new catalogue.  There is still time to order from the current 2010-2011 catalogue!!

Simply Stampin' Challenge 24

 Saturday already???  So that means it is time for another challenge at Simply Stampin'  and this week we have a theme for your inspiration;

Flutterby Butterfly

I bought a set of hearts a couple of months ago intending to decorate them for my sister's birthday but I never got around to doing them..

I used some of the beautiful Rich Razzleberry striped grosgrain ribbon to make a luxurious bow and hanging loop.

This gorgeous butterfly is from the Strength and Hope stamp set and stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink, I cut out three to make each butterfly gluing them together to make a 3D butterfly.

I added some rhinestones to the body of the butterfly and generously sprayed the hearts with Champagne Shimmer Paint.

If you would like to buy this stamp set it is only be available until 30th September Stampin' Up! are donating £1 for every set sold to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Simply Stampin' Challenge 23

Its time for a new challenge at Simply Stampin' we have a lovely colour challenge for your inspiration this week.

I have kept my card quite simple and finally inked the Confetti stamp set!!  Stamping a band of hearts in Perfect Plum and Bashful Blue then I stamped the mug from the Every Little Bit stamp set and coloured it with markers, covering it with Crystal Effects for a glossy finish.

I punched the mug out and glued it to a jumbo button from the Springtime Vintage collection. I think I will be making a few more of these button cards as they are

I added a little decoration to the inside of my card as I used Melon Mambo for my card base and I used Confetti White card - it is so pretty with lots of little flecks in the card.

On A Pedestal

Today I thought I would share a card made with the On A Pedestal stamp set - if this is a set you have been thinking of adding to your collection, then now is the time to do it!  On A Pedestal is now reduced by 25% to £12.71 but you do need to be quick as it will be gone forever after 30th September!

For my card I used my Colour Coach for inspiration - the colours are Very Vanilla, Baja breeze, Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler.  I used my marker pens to colour the stamps to match, the cherries in the background have been covered with Crystal Effects to give them a glossy finish!

I have a busy day planned so I can finish getting everything ready for my Strength & Hope workshop on Saturday afternoon.
