Creative Elements

I have really enjoyed making some new samples for the displays at my workshop.

This is a really pretty card using Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey and Whisper White.  The background is stamped in both shades of pink to add depth , with some ruffled taffeta ribbon across the bottom.

The butterflies are coloured with Stampin' Up! marker pens - starting with the lightest shade in the centre working out to the edge of the wings, with some sparkly gems trailing down the card.  I stamped an extra butterfly on the inside of the card - I like decorating the insides of my cards, it adds a finishing touch

Creative Elements is a stamp set that was given free to all demonstrators attending convention at Disneyland Paris - if you would like to join me at convention this year in Germany contact me to find out how you can become an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - there has never been a better time to join as in addition to the already fabulous starter kit (£119 for products valued at £240) you can choose any stamp set in the catalogue completely free!!

A Birthday Gift Set

Here is another Birthday set I made using the pretty Nursery Nest papers, the pastel colours are lovely.

I made a criss cross card and a matching criss cross box - perfect to pop a small gift in to.

The card pulls out of the top of the "envelope" I used the cute Aviary stamp set which matches the papers.

I made the bunting with scraps of the Nursery Nest papers and stamped and cut out the owls. The lovely scalloped edges are made with the Scallop Boarder trim punch.

A Basket of Flowers

I knew I couldn't leave my Cupcake punch too long - I'm here today with a pretty basket of flowers made using the Cupcake punch and the Create a Cupcake stamp set. There is so much more you can use this punch for!!  I used the new larger Scalloped Circle punch - its perfect for so many more images.

I finally cut in to the pretty Nursery Nest papers - they are lovely and you can use them for all occasions not just for baby cards and projects.

This is the "arty" angle, you can see the flowers have been curled and I added a tiny pearl. The colours are Blushing Bride, Marina Mist and whisper White.

My pretty cupcakes I baked yesterday, it was the first time I had tried to decorate them as flowers, I was pleased with the results and I may make another batch for my workshop next weekend!

Vintage Gift Set

Here is another Birthday set I designed using the exclusive time limited Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration Everyday Enchantment papers and the Fresh Vintage stamp set.

I loved this gorgeous red paper and decided to base my design and colour scheme of Poppy Parade and Very Vanilla around it.

The card only uses a tiny scrap of the Everyday Enchantment paper to decorate the inside. The front of the card is stamped with the Fresh Vintage stamp set with Poppy Parade ink onto Very Vanilla card, the edges were lightly inked with Crumb Cake ink to give an "aged" look. I layered  a scrap of card embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder with a scalloped circle and a Birthday sentiment from the hostess exclusive Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set.

This gift bag is perfect for a small present and it is really quick and easy to make using the Everyday Enchantment papers - they are perfect for gift bags!!  I used the exclusive Stampin' Up! Top Note die to make the top of the bag, stamping again onto Very Vanilla card, the flower closure was made with the Boho Blossom punch and a velcro dot is all that is needed to to close the gift bag.

I am busy preparing kits for the ladies joining me for my "Mystery Hostess" event - if you would like to be in with a chance to win some exclusive hostess products of your choice all you need to do is place an order with me before 4th February and you will receive a ticket for every £45 spent, book a workshop and receive 2 tickets or join my team and receive 5 tickets!!

A Sneak Peak

In a few days the best promotion of the Stampin' Up! calendar will begin - Sale-a-Bration. For every £45 you spend you can choose a FREE exclusive product.

Last night a special group of ladies held their first get together of the year, I really enjoy our evenings as there is always lots of laughter and crafty chatter!!

We made a card with gorgeous handmade paper roses and a bag for the card as an ordinary envelope would not suit this style of card, the card fits inside perfectly without damaging the flowers.

Here you can see the paper roses made with the FREE Everyday Enchantment papers.

This is the inside of the card stamped with the co-ordinating FREE Fresh Vintage stamp set.

The colours are Peach Parfait, Calypso coral, Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade and Very Vanillla.

One of the many "perks" I get as a Demonstrator is the option to pre-order new products in advance of the new catalogue or promotion.

If you would like to turn your hobby into a successful business or would just like an instant 20% discount off all of your future craft purchases why not join my team you will earn an extra free stamp set of your choice from any of our current catalogues. To avoid the rush, contact me now and I can talk to you about it in more detail.

Simply Adorned

In the new Stampin' Up! mini catalogue there is a gorgeous range of alterable jewellery - "Simply Adorned". There are lockets, chains, bracelets and large jewels to personalise your own unique piece of jewellery - it can quickly and easily be changed to match your outfit.

This is the large locket decorated to make a pretty bag charm.

I used the Charming stamp set - perfectly designed to fit the Simply Adorned range, along with a tiny flower punched with one of the Itty Bitty punches. I added a tiny pearl to the centre of the flower - the front of the case has a bevelled window, making space to add small layers, ribbon, pearls or gems.
I had to "have it all" on my bag charm and attached a key charm and a crown charm from the mini catalogue, they are such fabulous quality.

The Simply Adorned jewellery is in a plain presentation box - so I decorated the top of the box to match my bag charm.

This is the matching mini card I made for this set.  I made the oval frame with the Designer Frames embossing folder, the Extra Large Oval punch fits the centre perfectly. Lots of spritzing to add colour to my background which is stamped with a script stamp from the Charming stamp set. I tied some lovely Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon and a scrap of crochet trim.

Here is everything together - this time you can see the back of the locket - yes you can decorate both sides!!!

The colours are Whisper White, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade.

This charm would make a perfect gift with a set of mini art to change the colour and style of the locket - I plan on keeping this one for my Mum for Mothers Day (March 18th).  I will be placing an order for another charm this week - if you would like to place an order and make your own customise jewellery contact me to place an order.

Birthday Cupcakes

I'm back with another Cupcake card and a matching Cupcake gift box.
I have chosen bright "Spring" colours for this set.

The cakes are stamped and punched, a great use of my small scraps of card! I added some Dazzling Diamond glitter and Crystal Effects to highlight the candles and "sprinkles".  The Whisper White card is stamped with the "sprinkles" stamp from the Create a Cupcake stamp set with Pear Pizzaz, Daffodil Delight and Peach Parfait ink. The ribbon is Certainly Celery grosgrain.

Here is the Cupcake box I made with the exclusive Stampin' Up! Petal Cone die, its the perfect little box to put a small gift or a few chocolates in.  The flowers are made with the Boho Blossom punch and gorgeous glittery brad, with more grosgrain ribbon.

Here is the set together. If you would like to find out how to make this card and cupcake box why not book a workshop - invite your friends and I will come and show you how Stampin' Up! products can be used to create quick and simple projects like this one.

Another Cupcake

At last I have found time to edit some pictures of my Cupcake cards, so tonight I will share my version of a card I have seen many times in blog land.

What is better than a Cupcake - a shop full of Cupcakes/!

I have used the Word Window punch to create the canopy, it folds flat to fit into the envelope, the base was embossed with the Stripes embossing folder and the Scalloped border punch. the Cupcakes have been stamped and punched and layered with dimensionals.

The colours are Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzaz and Very Vanilla.
I have added some of the beautiful new velour ribbon around the base of the card, the sentiment is also from the Create A Cupcake stamp set.

New Cup Cake Punch

The mini catalogue is packed with so many gorgeous new products, another of my favourites is the Cup Cake builder punch with of course a matching stamp set - genius!!

This was a quick and simple card to make as the punch will save so much time - no more cutting out! The base is Concorde Crush with a strip of Very Vanilla card embossed with the square lattice folder. I spritzed a piece of First Edition paper with ink, then layered the cupcake onto a scalloped circle. I added some pearls and a tiny heart of the fabulous red glimmer paper - not a speck of glitter falls off as you cut and handle it!!

If you would like to browse the new mini catalogue, there is a link at the top of my blog. I am placing regular orders so let me know if there is anything you would like to get your inky fingers on, delivery is just £1 collected from me of £4.95 delivered directly to you no matter how much you order!!

A Rainbow of Cards

This is the collection of cards I made for my classes this week, using the Bright colour collection with the Easy Events stamp set - a fabulous stamp set to add to your collection.  All of the images were coloured using a blender pen and an ink pad, I used a variety of punches to layer the images and create backgrounds along with the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set. All of these cards are suitable to post  using a regular first class stamp.

It maybe Friday 13th but it is my lucky day and always will be!!

Happy Birthday Philip!

Today Philip is celebrating his 6th Birthday!!

Of course it had to be a special card for Philip – so “pirates” it is, with of course the Stampin’ Up! Owl Punch.

100_5389

I used a bright colour scheme of Lucky Limeade, Real Red, and Pacific Point along with Crumb Cake for the Owls and a little Baja Breeze and So Saffron. I scrunched and inked the So Saffron, then ripped it to add texture, then Baja Breeze was scrunched and I coated it with Crystal effects.

 100_5395

I really enjoyed making these cute punch art owls, I added some Crystal Effects to give a glossy finish to some of the areas.

100_5392

A close up of the detail, I used the Party This Way stamp set for the greeting and coloured it with my markers then spritzed it with ink before cutting it out.

100_5393

I decorated the inside of the card with balloons from the Party this Way stamp set and included that all important “6” the sentiment is from the exclusive hostess stamp set Happiest Birthday Wishes.

Almost time to light the candles on Philip’s choice of cake – a football cake?? Philip is having a joint Birthday party with his friend who celebrates his Birthday tomorrow on Saturday morning.

Spice Cake Card Box

A little later than I planned here is the box made for the Spice Cake cards shown in previous posts. I'm sure you will be relieved to know this is the last of my Spice Cake projects, I do have something different to share later this week.

All of the eight cards fit this box, I made the back of the box into two sections, one is big enough to hold the portrait style cards and the remainder holds the tags (not shown) made with the exclusive "Two Tags" die. The front of the box has the landscape style cards and space for stamps or pens.

A close up of another medallion I made with a Vintage Brad for the centre and some gorgeous ruffled Pool Party ribbon.

Matching pens with scraps of ribbon and crochet trim to match the cards.

I didn't mange to get the tags photographed for this post today as I have had a trip up to Newcastle for an appointment with Philip and a leaking pipe to sort out!!  Fortunately the pipe is now fixed without too much mess - only the ceiling in the utility room needs replacing again!!

Tomorrow I will be finishing the kits for my classes this week but I will be back on Wednesday with a special card.

Last of the Spice Cake cards.....

Here are the last few cards I made with the new Spice Cake papers - I love them!!!

Another card base of More Mustard - but a lovely effect with leaves cut out and layered up from teh French Foliage stamp set.  The sentiment is form another stamp set I received free, Creative Elements, and the background shape is from Everything Elenor.

I added some ink to the edges of this card and decorated the inside too.

The background was stamped with a gorgeous vine from the Creative Elements stamp set and lightly colured with Crumb Cake ink and a blender pen.  The fabric flowers are cut with the exclusive to Stampin' Up! Fun Flowers die - no sewing or finishing raw edges, just good old Tombow adhesive to stick it together!!

The flower centre was made with the Boho Blossoms punch, another decorated inside.

Foe this card I used the gorgeous Curly Cute sentiment stamp set , along with some Spice Cake paper and Soft Suede tafetta ribbon, The flower is stamped with Soft Suede ink onto More Mustard and Pear Pizzaz card, then punched with the co-ordinating punches and another Vintage Brad.

Another side view and decorated inside, I do like the Very Vanilla card inside the coloured card bases.

As I had made so many cards, I needed a box to store them in, I will share the pictures of the box tomorrow, along with some matching pens and tags.  I thought this would make a lovely gift set, so it will be kept for the right occasion.
