Stampin' Up! Spice Cake Fabric

Sorry for not keeping up with my blog posts, life just seems so busy at the moment and some things have to give. I have still been making and creating and I will share some of them with you very soon....

I have decided it's too late to continue with my Easter projects (Ooops!)

I managed to finally get my sewing machine out of the loft and use some of the gorgeous Spice Cake fabric from Stampin' Up! I love the colours of the Spice Cake fabric and papers and I know I will be sad when they are no longer available - just 2 weeks left to order yours!!

I made up all of these bits and pieces in an evening, not too bad as I can't remember the last time I sewed anything?!

The heart shaped cushion is filled with lavender and I used my favourite colour of the fabrics trimmed with some Victoria Crochet Trim and luxurious Very Vanilla Velvet ribbon. The round box is one of the many empty containers I have that were once filled with gorgeous Stampin' Up! embellishments - I decorated this one to match with a flower made from punches - perfect for keeping those stray bits & pieces on my desk.

I love these desk tidy's - the secret is the exclusive Stampin' Up! Scallop Square die and the Big Shot!!!
There was no cutting or finishing of the edges of the fabric, I matched and layered them together then run them through the machine - my kind of project!!!

As you can see it holds quite a few different products, the ink pads fit easily in to the centre.

I do like my cup of coffee when I'm crafting, so I decided to make a mug wrap, inspired by the lovely one I received from Monica at Convention last year.

I have never quilted fabric before but another super fast wow project - I used a cardboard template from a take away coffee & cut two from fabric & another in felt to put in-between the fabric, then I stitched through the layers, trimming the edges with pinking scissors when finished. I added a large matching button, with an Antique Brad and some Crumb Cake seam binding.

There is still time to take advantage of this months special offer from Stampin' Up! if you place an order of £45 or more you will receive a FREE pack of designer paper.

I will share one of my projects using some of the FREE designer papers tomorrow.
