Bird on a Branch ......

I have made these cards using the new Bird on a Branch stamp set from the mini catalogue, it is another one of those sets that you just can't put down.  There are 5 stamps in the set including a sentiment stamp.

I have layered the birds with diamensionals and covered them with a layer of crystal effects to give the birds a sheen.  The backgroung has been created with the speckled stamp from the set, I LOVE this stamp and I'm sure it will be used on so many of my cards!!!

The colours are rose red and regal rose with black, I think it is a nice bold combination.

As always ther is a fantastic prize on offer for one lucky winner drawn by random org, I really wish the DT could enter as I would LOVE this weeks prize!!

I have finally got around to inking this cute stamp I bought a few weeks ago at the Harrogate Paercrafts show!!  She is coloured in bright cheerful colours to match the gorgeous Sweet Pea papers from Stampin' Up!, I just can't stop using them!!  I have added some Sweet Pea stitched felt, the ribbon is from my stash.

It was my friends birthday on Monday, so I made this card with the hidden message (I'm so kind, ha!!) to celebrate her special day.

You have two weeks to join in the challenge, you can see the fabulous cards from the talented design team here, good luck!!!

I have used the "Swinging Princess" for my card, this is a lovely stamp, I have paper pieced her dress and used promarkers to colour the rest of the image, I have cut a decorative mat and used some gorgeous taffeta ribbon, flowers are from my stash.  I have enjoyed this challenge and found plenty of dotty papers in my stash!!!

A Little Birdie ......

I have had to "give in" and buy this gorgeous new 2-step bird punch from Stampin' Up!   Again this punch is one of the new space saving designs, perfect for me as my stash is growing at quite a rate right now!!!  (But I guess it has done that for some time now!!!  Oooops!!)

I have used those fabulous Sweet Pea papers again, (there are so many beautiful designs), I added some diamensionals to my little bird to lift it.  I have seen so many different cards made with this punch while blog hopping, I have created the flowers below from a card I saw on Julie's blog a couple of weeks ago.

The flowers have been glittered with Stampin' Up! Dazzaling Diamonds glitter, it has the most amazing sparkle!! I'm sure you will be seeing more of this on my cards, I have noticed it is in my car too!!!

E-mail me if you would like to place an order for the 2-step bird punch, I'm off to see what else I can make with this punch and make plans for my next class. Enjoy what is left of your weekend!!

Butterflies ......

I have two cards to share today using one of the new individual stamps from the mini catalogue from Stampin' Up!  Butterflies are not usually one of my favourite images, but this image has such fine details.  I have coloured both images using a classic stampin' pad and the blender pens.

The paper is more of the sweet pea pad and I have coloured the ribbon to match, I have added a tiny tag and sentiment from the mini catalogue too, I love this punch and the new design makes them so easy to store, leaving more space for more stash!!!

I have cut and layered two butterflies for this card, andding some of the gorgeous dazzaling diamonds glitter on the edge of the wings - so sparkly and my camera has picked it up too!!!  The sentiment is from the Fun & Fast Notes stamp set.

Last night I held my very first class, it was fun  and everyone worked really hard to complete their prorjects. I would like to thank you all for coming and look forward to meeting up again soon!!!  Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of all of the beautiful cards made, but everyone created something individual using the same stamp set.

Hope you are all having a great weekend, the weather has been lovely here today,
lets hope this will continue!!!

Vintage Vogue Set ......

Today I have another little set created with the new Vintage Vogue stamp, I love using this set!! The gorgeous papers are from the Sweet Pea designer paper stack, yes I love those too!!!

I have stamped the decorative vine, then stamped the flowers using the "rock n roll" technique, then I have cut them out and layered them up with diamensionals. I have used the scalloped border punch and the reverse of the paper for the decorative strip, and added faux stitching too.

I have made a box in a bag, so easy to, I think I will have to make another for my friends birthday next week!!  I have used the same Sweet Pea paper, adding faux stitching around the scalloped base of the bag.  I have used the tab punch to make a fastener, colouring the ribbon to match.

I am joining in with
Allsorts challenge 48 "In Stitches"

The weather has been beautiful here today, I just wish it was a little hotter!!!
We found out yesterday that Philip has got a place for September at the local primary school that Lucy attends, it is such an achievement for him after his rocky start in life - this is more than I ever
dared hope for!!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge 30 ......

It is time for the new challenge at Truly Scrumptious, this week we have a lovely sketch for you from the very talented Mina, with the optional challenge "Spring Rain".

I have coloured Winter Wonderland with promarkers, cut it out and layered it on an embossed pannel, I have rotated the sketch to fit the image I had chosen.   The papers are Tea Party from Stampin' Up! with so saffron card, the sentiment is from the Circle of Friends set.

Your Next Stamp Challenge 14 ......

It is time for a new challenge at Your Next Stamp set this week, the challenge is "stitching" real or faux set by Starlet Kerri.

I have made my card with the newly released Mini Fairy Fhiona, these new stamps are so cute and the detail in the mini design is excellent, the new purple rubber gives a perfect impression every time. I have used the Bella Blue designer papers from Stampin' Up! along with kraft ribbon, I have added arow of faux stitching along the bottom of the card.

I have to admit that although I can do the finest of detail in many different styles of needlework and embroidery, when it comes to hems or buttons I do not enjoy it, usually it is left as long as I can possibly do so!!!

Sweet Pea Gift Bag ......

I love the new Sweet Pea designer papers from the mini Stampin' Up! catalogue!! I do wish they were staying , but sadly they are only available whilst stocks last????  If you would like to get your hands on some of these e-mail me as soon as possible to place your order. I decided I would have a go at making this gift bag from a template I bought a little while ago but never got around to using it!!!

I have used pretty in pink card with one sheet of the gorgeous 12x12 Sweet Pea paper (I wouldn't want to use too much!!!) the ribbon is rose red and I made the buckles using 2 circle punches to compliment the  paper. Another gorgeous felt flower from the Sweet Pea collection for the little pocket on the front of the bag, I think it would be perfect to pop a gift card inside!!

I am joining in with the following challenge;

I have used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour the bird from the Sweet Pea stamp set, I love these markers, the quality of them is excellent, and I have used them so much already!! I have used chocolate chip again on the matching cards, along with the scallop edge punch.

This is my second post for today, please scroll down for details of the exciting news announced by Stampin' Up! eariler this week.

The new mini catalogue is filled with so many fabulous new stamp sets, Vintage Vogue is just one of them that I love so much!!  There is also a matching Stampin' Around wheel.
I have used Plum and Pale Plum for this card along with the scallop border punch, I have stamped the background with one of the stamps from the Vintage Vogue set and made a feature of the Friends sentiment. I have coloured some kraft taffeta ribbon to match.

I have used the  Stampin' Around wheel for the base of this card, the detail is stunning and they are so quick and easy to use!!!  I have used the flowers from the set and cut them out and layered them with diamensionals and a clear brad. The vine stamp was stamped before I attatched the flower, I used some Stampin' Chalks to give the edges a worn look.  Colours are Bashful Blue, Barely Banana and Close to Cocoa.

Dasher .....

This is one of the new single stamps available in the new mini catalogue from Stampin' Up!  It's great to have a choice of single stamps as well as the popular co-ordinated sets.  This is "Dasher",  and the detail is beautiful, the deeply etched rubber gives an excellent impression even with the fine detail of this stamp.

I have stamped Dasher in chocolate chip ink on kraft card stock, then I have added a fine glitter over the top to give the fabulous sparkle, I have used real red and old olive card with a little of my favourite wide striped ribbon .

This is my first Christmas card of the year, and I am entering this card in challenge 11 at Susie and Vicki's Christmas club.  The challenge is Reindeers, so Dasher is just perfect for this one!!
