Basic Grey Challenges Week 12 ......

The new challenge this week at Basic Grey Challenge is "animals", the challenge is sponsored by Simon Say's Stamp.

I have used the cute Scout the Snail from Your Next Stamp, coloured with promarkers sakura stardust pen around the shell, glossy accents for his eyes, papers are BG Archaic, DCWV c/s, nesties, ribbon.

Nice and simple agian, but I think it will be suitable for a male card??  I have loved using the BG Archaic papers and I only have a few sheets left, they mix together so well, may have to find some more quite soon.

Thanks for stopping by again,

Four Challenges, One Card .....

I have made this card for the following challenges,

Basic Grey Challenge 2 "pink, yellow, brown"

Poftcraft Monday Challenge "My Favourite Things"

I have followed the fab tutorial by Debby, at Just Magnolia Monthly Challenges to make a 3D stamped image, coloured with promarkers, glossy accents, papers are BG lemonade, fiskars border punch, retro flower punch, buttons, ribbon, sentiment is craftwork cards.

I stamped several images colouring the extra pieces I needed to build up the layers and cutting them out, it is quite time consuming but the effect is worth it. The sketch is another really good one to work with from Sketch Saturday. The colours from Basic Grey Lemonade are perfect for this weeks challenge, My card is inspired by my favourite things cute Magnolia Tilda stamps and the colour pink for the Pollycraft Challenge.

Think I need to iron tonight :( so no cards tonight, I have been staying up late crafting and need to get back into a routine as this won't help those stressful school mornings!! Only 2 weeks left of the holidays, Lucy is looking forward to being with her friends again, Philip will start nursery sometime in september as we managed to get full time support to help him get around!! I will get some time for myself at last!!!

Double Challenge .....

There is a great new sketch this week at Just Magnolia week 19 by super talented Rach, which I have combined with Stampin' for the Weekend challenge 12 colours "pink and grey". I have moved the sentiment to the circle at the bottom and added a bow with a charm.

I have used Sweetheart Tilda coloured with shimmer paints, watercolour pencils and promarkers, papers are BG Perhaps which were just perfect for this challenge, DCWV cardstock, nesties, swiss dots and snowflakes embossing folders, ribbon, charm, and embossed circle with greeting from craftwork cards.

It is another Christmas card, I keep sneaking them in, slowly my stash of Christmas cards is building up. I am quite pleased how well the colours have worked for a Christmas card, it gives a fresh modern look as I do tend to go for more traditional colours.

TOP 5 WEEK 12, STAMPIN FOR THE WEEKEND!!

Two Challenges .....

I have combined two challenges for this card,

Allsorts Challenge week 13 is Gro's challenge, "vintage", the winner will recieve 6 promarkers (my favourite!!).

Basic Grey Challenges are back, this week there is a sketch by Tara G, its a really great sketch to follow, they are not offering weekly prizes, instead 5 lucky people chosen at random from this challenge will go through to the monthly prize drawing which has been sponsored by sponsor Simon Says Stamp.

I have used Baisic Grey Archaic papers and element stickers, Edwin coloured with promarkers, PM cardstock, ribbon, gems, rub on, brad, brown ink pad. I have inked the edges of the papers with a brown ink pad and used a distressing tool on some of the layers to give a worn look.
I thought the muted shades of greens and browns along with the distressing gave the card a worn vintage look.

I will be back later with another card, thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx
