I have used  black & white pens to doodle the boarder around the orange card, I have also drawn eyes on some of the spots on the main backing paper too. It is quite a sparkly card but as I usual I haven't managed to capture this.

I will give this card to my little boy Philip, I always make "girly" cards, so this is a change for me!!  There are some gorgeous cards from the design team at Truly Scrumptious so pop over and have a look!!

Funky Flowers .....

This week the challenge at Anyone for Anya is "funky flowers" the sponsor is Tracy form Dies to Die for with the most wonderful CC Designs 'Thank You' sentiments.

I have used Miss Anya from the "rain, snow & shine" collection, coloured with promarkers, sakura stardust pen for her hair band, papers are Imaginisce "flannel pajammas", MS doillie punch, ribbon, sentiment is from craftwork cards.

I have made my funky flower from some pearlised red metallic ribbon, flower spacer and gem brad. I bought this ribbon in pink & white too, it has a cord through at about 1 inch intervals, so all you do is pull the cord and "hey presto" you have a ready made flower, the more ribbon you pull up the fuller the flower will be.

A Double Challenge .....

I have combined the sketch from Sketch Saturday week 68, sponsored by Simon Says Stamps $25 voucher!! Anyone for Anya challenge is the second challenge which is "pink & white +1 other colour", sponsored by Dies to Die For - a cute Superstar Anya!!

I have coloured my Snuggle Anya with promarkers, (blossom pink & rose pink with lavendeer) the papers are Craftwork Cards again, retro flower punches, gems, brad, ribbon PM cardstock.

The papers do have extra colours in but they matched the image so well that I just had to use them!! It's surprising how difficult it is to stick to so few colours for a card!! The flowers are punched from bits from my sctaps box as it is begining to overflow again!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great Weekend whatever you are doing,

Angela xx

Allsorts Challenge 18 .....

I seem to be last minute with the challenge for Allsorts this week, which is to use a sketch provided and only 2 colours. I have used blue & white for the main colours, but have followed through with a little silver for the snowflakes to tie in the paper, so I hope this will be ok.

I have coloured my new Ketto stamp with promarkers, I have wanted one of these little cuties for a while and managed to find it at the show last week!! The papers are the new Jack Frost range from craftwork cards, DCWV cardstock, pearlised dark blue paper, stardust stickles glue, glossy accents, ribbon, snowflake punches, gems.

I have added an extra photo to show the sparkle, as I never usually manage to get it show up on my main picture??
I have another last minute card to post as I managed to get 2 cards finished last night,

Autumn Card .....

This is my second card today, I have managed to fit this card around several challenges, although the picture is not too great as I left it a little late tonight.

A Spoonful of Sugar challenge 69 "fall into autumn" sponsored this week by Michelle from Pixie Cottage with 2 very cute stamps for the lucky winner.

Lili of the Vallley challenge 36, colours "green, brown, orange".

Sunday Sketch and Stamp, challenge 11, Ariannes sketch, sponsored this week by Pink Petticoat, the design team hae made some amazing cards with these gorgeous digital downlaods.

I have used one of the many new stamps I bought at the weekend, this one is from Lili of the Valley "hug time" coloured with promarkers and stickles stardust glitter glue for the bow on the dress, papers are BG Archaic, nesties, ribbon, charm sentiment is craftwork cards. This is a great sketch to work with not too fussy the style I like as I love the neatness of the simplicity.

It's surprising how quickly the leaves are changing colour on the trees, I noticed the today while driving its definately autumn now, rather chilly too!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx

I have used this gorgeous sketch by Marlene for this weeks entry for The Sugar Bowl challenge, withe the please include "pink & brown". There is a full set of the new Mary Hall stamps for one lucky winner!! I have used a bright pink as it works better with this paper, which is so gorgeous, I bought it a while ago but never seem to find the right card to use it on, the picture doesn't show it but the full sheet is glittered.

I have used my Sugar Nellie Manga girl again, (I do love colouring these), coloured with promarkers & copic spica glitter pens, papers are DCWV Sweet, DCWV card stock, circles cut with nesties, embossed with my new cuttlebug snow folder that I got at the weekend, pearls are coloured with promarkers to match the paper, retro flower punch, sentiment is craftwork cards. Harrogate Papercrafts Show .....

I just thought I would post the card that we made at the breakfast workshop yesterday, (I went with my friend Liz) not only did we get to make this gorgeous card but we also got to keep this Tilda stamp and the 7 copic markers that we used to colour her with!! I have to say, I love those pens, but almost have the full set of the current promarkers, so just have to stick with those!! I guess you will see quite alot of these colours as they do seem to be perfect for Christmas, lol!! The workshop was by Samuel Taylor with a very talented lady called Jo, all this for the bargain price of £11!!

I did it again, spent so much more than I intended!! Ooops!! I bought some gorgeous new stamps from Lili of the Valley and lots of gorgeous ribbon (I think it's one of my obsessions!!), and so many other goodies!! Its also nice to meet other people who share this "addiction" and see some of the gorgeous cards on display. The only disappointment was the lack of good quality papers, I didnt get the kind of papers I was hoping for, although I did buy a few sets of the new Craftwork Cards Christmas papers.

It has been a glorious weekend, we had a BBQ when we got home on saturday, probably the last this year but it was a perfect evening and good to relax, althought the craft shopping had to be left unpacked a little longer!!

I have won a set of stamps from Tracy at Dies to Die for the sponsor of last weeks Anyone for Anya Challenge, Wow, I'm not usually so lucky!! lol

Hope you have had a good weekend too,

Angela xx

A Triple Challenge .....

I have made this card for the following challenges;

Sketch Saturday week 67 I have rotated the sketch to fit the stamp and placed the image square.

Anyone for Anya week 3, "buttons, bows, brads"

Roses on Paper challenge 20 colours "lavender, soft blue, cream"

I have stamped Miss Anya from the rain & shine collection coloured her with promarkers, DCWV cardstock, white wash core'dinations, swirls embossing folder, circle nesties, buttons, sparkly ribbon, glittered brad, sentiment is craftwork cards. I have sanded the circles to show the colour underneath the white top layer and I lightly sanded the embossed panel.

This is a lovely sketch to work with, I will use this one again, thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx

Another Double .....

I have made this card for two challenges,

A Spoonful of Sugar challenge 68, a sketch by Michelle O. This weeks prize is sponsored by Bunny Zoe's crafts, *NEW* 6x6 Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and 6 Christmas tree charms.

Passion for Promarkers week 16 colours "sandstone & blue pearl". This week is sponsored by Digi Stamp Boutique £10.00 voucher .

I have used my new Sugar Nellie Manga Girl coloured with promarkers, blue pearl, sandstone, spice, coral, cool grey 1-5, vanilla, ivory, blush. The papers are MME wild asparagus, DCWV cardstock, I have distressed the edges of the card and inked them with a brown ink pad, retro flower punch, roses, stickles stardust glitter glue, glossy accents usded on the arrow, sentiment is craftwork cards.

I like the blue & brown colour of this card and those Manga girls are a dream to colour!! I'm hoping to get some more blue/lilac papers at the show tomorrow as I don't seem to have very much in these colours, I have quite alist without the impulse buy's!! It's an early start as we have booked a breakfast workshop before the show opens then it will be time to spend, spend spend!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx

It's Arrived at Last .....

Look at what the postman brought today!! I ordered this a couple of weeks ago from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, I have been looking for a stamp like this for quite a while so I deceided to have one of these made, they are made by Scrapmagisnet. If you would like one the link is here, I have found it stamps perfectly and it's avery crisp image too!! I have ordered quite a few things from Nicki and they are always delivered quickly!!

I left Philip at nursery today, the lady who is supporting him has been amazing this week and I knew it was time to go and let nursery get on with things, so I went off to Starbucks for coffee with a group of other mums from school!!

I will be back later with a couple of cards I have managd to do, I have been so tired this week I think its just getting back into the school routine and rushing out of the door on time too!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Indian Summer .....

What a beautiful day, just like an Indian summer!! The children are back at school and the sun decides to shine!! We always take a picture on the first day of term, surprisingly Lucy still looked smart when I picked her up and she hasn't scuffed her shoes yet??!

Today's card is for two challenges,

Truly Scrumptious challenge 15 a sketch and the theme of "Indian Summer", sponsored this week by Home Impressions with a cute set of "Jack & Jill" stamps.

Stampin for the Weekend challenge 14, colours "pink, teal & orange" sponsored this week by The Craft Barn £15 voucher.

I have used my new Sugar Nellie Manga girl stamp, coloured with promarkers, the patterned paper is from a magazine freebie but the colours and pattern work well for the Indian Summer theme, DCWV card, retro flower punches, stickles stardust glitter glue, victorian & swiss dots embossing folders, card candy. I really like the way this card has turned out with these colours its an unusual combination for me.

I think it will be a quiet week for my blog this week as Philip starts nursery tomorrow, he should have gone today but no one told us?? So I will be spending my mornings helping the support person to get to know Philip and how to help him get around and communicate, but well worth it as I will have *5* mornings for me!! I have got to make some more cards for the neo-natal unit as they have asked for more, its just 7 weeks since I took around 50-60 cards, I don't like it when they are busy like this as I know only too well that its not all happy endings.

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx

Sunday Sketch & Stamp with Papertake Weekly .....

I have combined the challenges from Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge 10 with Papertake Weekly challenge 23 for this card.

Sunday Sketch & Stamp is a lovely sketch by the very talented Sem, (take a look at her work its beautiful), sponsored this week by Sir Stampalot. Sunday sketch & stamp are also looking for 3 guest designers to join them for a 3 month period, what a fantastic oppourtunity!!

Papertake Weekly have a theme this week "angel's and fairies" sponsored by The Angel Company who have provided a set of cute penguin stamps, perfect for Christmas!!

I have used the very cute C.C designs Liesel with Wheelbarrow, coloured with promarkers, stickles stardust for her wings, mini holly punch, gems, snow flake punches, nesties, papers are MME wild asparagus, card is core'dinaitions, pearls coloured to match with promarkers, flower soft polar white for the snow, glossy accents, ultra fine glitter.

This is a close up of the detail, I had not used my new polar white flower soft but it has a lovely shimmer, I have put it around her feet and in between the holly in her wheelbarrow just to give it a frosty touch. I will be using this more often on my christmas cards!! I used the glossy accents on the heart with the ultra fine glitter to give it a bit of sparkle and of course my favourite stickles stardust for her wings!!

It has finally stopped raining, I have had the central heating on today its been so cold!! Lucy has gone off to the circus tonight with some friends that are on holiday here so I'm sure she will be in for a treat!! I was alway's spoiled by them when I was her age, now they are spoiling my children too!! They are certainly very special friends!!

Hope you have a good weekend, I will pick a winner for my candy tomorrow night!!

Thanks for stoping by,

A Milk Carton, 2 challenges .....

I have made this cute Milk Carton for the Create 4 Fun challenge week 35 and combined it with the Allsorts Challenge week 16 which is "NO STAMPING".

I followed the template provided and used some gingerbread man ribbon (don't remember where I got it) nesties, swiss dots embossing folder, sizzix sizzlits gingerbread man #2, stickles stardust, gems, ribbons, sentiment is craftwork cards.

The milk carton was really easy to make and came together quickly, I think it will make a really great novelty way of giving a gift and for so many occasions!!

I'm off to have a quick play with my new sizzix flower dies, there's a great tutorial over at Just Magnolia Monthly Challenges and the flowers they make look gorgeous!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx

Combined Challenges .....

I have had alot of fun making this card and for the first time I have combined 6 challenges,

Just Magnolia week 20 "button & bows" I have used Tilda in Sprng Rain, buttons & ribbon.

Passion for Promarkers week 15 "girly & glitttery", this weeks sponsor is The Secret Crafter they have 6 promarkers of your choice on offer!! My colours are warm grey 1-5, black, blossom, rose pink.

Sketch & Stash week 18, I have used the sketch provided to make my card and my new nesties.

A Spoonful of Sugar challenge 67 "distressing" sponsored this week by Digital Delights.

Creative Card Crew challenge 26 "pink, black & white" colours to be used, sponsored by Whimsey Stamps.

Cupcake Craft Challenges challenge 55 a recipie, 3 buttons, 2 papers, 1 ribbon, this week is sponsored by Elaine at Quixotic Cards £10 voucher for her on-line store. I have shopped here before and there are some gorgeous products and I have always had excellent service!!

So thats quite a few challenges here!! I have used Tilda coloured with promarkers, glossy accents for the puddle, paper is BG sultry & DCWV card stock, it was quite a novelty to make only 2 papers work for the challenge, but as distressing was one of the challenges I used a distressing tool around the pannel and a brown ink pad and chalks to give the edges and flowers a distressed look. I have used stickles stardust around the edge of the pink frame, cut with nesties, ribbon, gems, buttons, retro flower punch.

I thought Tilda in Spring Rain is just perfect for the weather at the moment, we have been lucky today as we have had a lovely day at York with friends and the weather stayed dry, alothough its pouring down again now!!

Angela xx
