Spice Cake Inspired Wreath

I was so delighted to see the Spice Cake range of papers, fabric and buttons in the new mini catalogue, the colours are so pretty and I was inspired to make this wreath using the colours and the large buttons.

Most leaves were cut with the sizzix leaves die and then I scrunched them and inked around the edges, I stamped some leaved from the French Foliage stamp set and then I cut them out by hand.

The leaves were glued to the wreath with Tombow adhesive and dimensionals between the layers. I tied some Early Espresso ribbon through the buttons before gluing them to the wreath.

Some of the leaves were embossed to add some texture, then I gave the finished wreath a generous spray of Champagne Shimmer paint mixed with alcohol to give it some sparkle.

The colours are Pool Party, More Mustard, Soft Suede, Pear Pizzaz, River Rock, with some First Edition designer paper.

I will be up-dating my blog with more Spice Cake projects during the next few days - I was fortunate to receive this bundle of Spice Cake products FREE!!  If you would like to find out how you can have fun and turn your hobby into a business, why not contact me to find out more about how you can join my team of "Sparkly Angels" and get a discount on all of your Stampin' Up! purchases and exclusive pre-orders from all up-coming catalogues.
