Easter Milk Cartons

Here are the last of the Easter treats this week - a mini milk carton with a Lindor gold bunny inside - a little treat for Lucy's school friends!!

I used the exclusive to Stampin' Up! sizzix Mini Milk Carton die to cut my boxes in Daffodil Delight card, then I stamped them with Daffodil Delight ink using the flower stamp from the Confetti stamp set.

I stamped and coloured the cute bunny from the Everybunny stamp set with Stampin' Up! marker pens, adding the dazzling Diamonds glitter to the egg shell. I used a mini clip to close the box with a gorgeous satin bow, so they could be opened without damaging the box.

Looking forward to a few late mornings over the holidays - no doubt Lucy & Philip will be awake earlier then usual!!

Easter Gifts Day 3

I am still using a similar colour scheme of Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Peach Parfait for these Easter cards and treats.

I used the Easter Blossoms stamp set for these cards.  I stamped the images with Basic Grey and added a little colour with a Stampin' Up! marker pen  and a few tiny punched flowers with a pearl for the centre.

I stamped and cut out the eggs and layered them with a dimensional so they look like they are hanging from the branch.

I made these small pouches with a 6 x 6 piece of Everyday Enchantment paper, adding a small punched flower to an antique tag and a contrasting bow of In Colour ruffled ribbon.

I chose the colours for my cards and gifts based on the yummy chocolate bunnies - the wrapper is almost Pool Party and Calypso Coral!!  Thank you M&S!!

Tomorrow is the last of my Easter treats this week and also the last day of term!!  I do hope we continue to have some more of this gorgeous weather, as it will be nice to have a few days out somewhere nice & Lucy would love a BBQ!!

Easter Gifts Day 2

Here are more of the Easter gifts and cards I made for Philip.  I used a gorgeous colour combination of Pool Party and Calypso Coral with more of the Everyday Enchantment papers - I know I will miss them when they are gone!!

I used the same supplies for each set and just changed the design of the card.

I used some Crumb Cake ink to give the edges a worn look and highlight the texture of the polka dot embossing folder.

The cute bunnies are coloured with Stampin' Up! marker pens and a Blender pen, the egg shells have also been glittered with Dazzling Diamonds.

These gifts are for Philip's teacher and his 1:1 teacher.  I will share the gifts and cards for Lucy's teachers tomorrow.

If you would like to get your hands on some of these beautiful Everyday Enchantment papers before they are gone forever - contact me to place your order before Friday 30th March.

Everybunny Easter Gifts

These are the first of my Easter gifts for Philip's teachers, I can hardly believe that it is the end of term already!!

I used a selection of the gorgeous FREE Everyday Enchantment papers to make them, with coordinating "In Colour" ribbon.  Stampin' Up! papers are fabulous quality and will hold up when made into gift bags and boxes.

I stamped one of the really cute images from the Everybunny stamp set and coloured them with Stampin' Up! marker pens, adding some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the egg shell.

I measured the chocolate bunny and designed the bag/box to fit - they are really quick and easy to make with no cutting!!

If you would like to get your hands on some of these beautiful Everyday Enchantment papers before they are gone forever - contact me to place your order before Friday 30th March.

New Class

This morning I have a lovely group of ladies joining me for my new Friday morning class, as they will now be on their way here I know it will be "safe" for me to post this as I know they won't see it just yet!!

I decided to use a Springtime theme for this class - everyone got to take home their own Happiness Shared stamp set after the class. These stamps are a"clear" mount set,  I have found the best way to get my stamps  to cling to the block is by trimming a little of the sticker and keeping my stamps and blocks clean with some stampin' mist. A few minutes of preparation can make all the difference to your stamping.

This card is coloured with Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen. The images in the Happiness Shared stamp set make colouring simple even for a new crafter as there is shading in the areas that are darkest. The satin ribbon and card base are Certainly Celery and I added a matching flower brad with a rhinestone, the edge is punched with the Scallop Border Trim punch.

For this card a border is stamped around the edge of the card to create a frame.  This time the flowers are coloured with Stampin' Up! watercolour pencils, they have lovely soft leads in them and Whisper White card is so smooth I used a flat tipped cotton bud to blend and smooth the colour together. The sentiment is form the Curly Cute stamp set.

This card is a really quick and simple design, but the addition of the Black card really makes this one "pop".

This is the matching "gable" box - they are really easy to make and are a useful size too.

This is the gift box and card together.

All of the projects together.

I hope I have provided enough inspiration for the class an everyone leaves inspired by their new stamp set.

If you would like to join my Friday morning class I have a couple of spare places next time - email me to find out more details.

DON'T FORGET THERE ARE ONLY 7 DAYS LEFT TO GET YOUR SALE-A-BRATION FREEBIES - IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PLACE AN ORDER CONTACT ME.

Birthday Princess

Philip was invited to another party last week and this is the card I made for his little friend.

This week at A La Card Monkey they have a great sketch for inspiration - it is quite sometime since I managed to join in with a challenge, so I will enter my card into this week's challenge, there is a nice and simple sketch for inspiration.

I used the really cute Little Princess stamp set - I coloured the image with Stampin' Up! watercolour pencils and a blender pen.

The pretty papers are from the exclusive hostess designer papers Cheerful Treat with some of the lovely polka dot Elegant Eggplant ribbon.  The image was punched with the largest circle and layered with the new large scallop punch, I added some small flowers made with the Itty Bitty punches. The sentiment is another hostess exclusive - Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Wedding Invitations

I don't usually make wedding stationery but my hairdresser is getting married in August and thought she had her invitations organised, only to find out this was not the case, so I offered to help.

I made up only four cards as a starting point, to try and find out what style of invitation she would like and this is the design she choose - the only addition to my original design is the ribbon and flat bow.

It is quite a simple design, using the French Foliage stamp set and the Beautiful Wings embosslit folder.  The colours are Night of Navy, Very Vanilla and the beautiful Gold card, I used Very Vanilla satin ribbon for the flat bows. The sentiment is from the Wedding Sweet stamp set, punched with the modern label punch layered with more gold card and another tiny butterfly. I added a few pearls across the design of the card.

I spent just over two weeks making these invites and I was pleased to see them all finished as I did find it difficult making the same thing over and over.  My hairdresser was really pleased with them when I dropped them off on Saturday!!

This week I hope to get Easter gifts made ready for the end of term next week - I can't believe how quickly it has come around!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Happy Mothers Day

I made my Mother's Day card and gift box last minute again!! So I managed to get a photo this morning before I went to my Mum's for lunch.

Every Mum deserves flowers - I used the exclusive sizzix Blossom Party die from the Spring mini catalogue to make these gorgeous flowers for my plant pot.

This is a gift box that Margaret shared with everyone last week at the shoe box swap.  I used Cajun Craze card for my pot and inked the edges to give a worn look to it - I put a bag of Thornton's luxury dinner mints in as they are my mum's favourite!!

I made an extra flower for the focal point of my card and of course I had to use more of the gorgeous Sale-a-Bration Everyday Enchantment papers!!  There are less than 2 weeks left to get yours!!!

This is the arty angle so you can see the depth of the flowers and the gorgeous Victoria crochet trim.

Here they are together, I also took a lovely planted metal tub for the patio as my mum loves her garden.

Last week was another very busy week!!  Hopefully Philip will go back to school tomorrow but not before he has managed to share his germs with the rest of us!!  Darran had a week off last week and finally after almost two years (yes! 2 years!!!) I now have a lovely newly decorated bedroom, with a carpet that is so soft to walk on!!!  Now everywhere else could do with freshening up - maybe I can find some inspiration and make a start??

I have had a lovely day and not only had Darran taken Lucy shopping for Mothers Day, my mum had also got something for her as well - she usually asks my mum to get her something - a beautifully decorated cake with roses on the top of it - it looks too nice to cut!!!  I managed to get some craft time in this afternoon as well, while Lucy went out to play & Philip went to bed for a sleep as he was being a little monster!!!

I have a lot of projects to share and my new Friday classes start this week, so I'm going to schedule my posts for this week now!!

I hope that mum's everywhere have had a lovely day today!

Shoebox Projects - at last!

I did hope to get these projects photographed much earlier than today but Philip has been off school all week, with an ear infection.  We had 3 visits to the GP and 2 different antibiotics in a week!!  He is a little better now and I hope he goes back to school tomorrow, although I don't know if he will manage a full day????

I will be back with my Mothers Day projects, just as soon as I have sorted the photographs.

Shoe Box Swap

Today I took part in a "shoe box" swap with some of the other demonstrators in my local area - there aren't that many of us, so it was nice to meet up and share some project ideas.

The idea is that everyone designs a project and brings everything needed to make it in a "shoe box" - the projects are then passed around the table and everyone takes home a selection of "new" ideas.

I wanted to make a card with a  small gift, something that makes a quick last minute gift.

The colours I used are Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla, the stamp set is the gorgeous UK exclusive Everything Eleanor.

This was a fairly simple design, with some flowers cut out and layered with dimensionals and a large pearl for the centre and a length of Victoria Crochet Trim.

This is the side view of the card.

This is the inside with the chocolate bar and a "thank you" stamped with the Oval All stamp set.
My project was inspired by the colours of the wrapper on my chocolate bar!!

If you would like to join our next "shoe box" swap, contact me to find out how easy it is to start your own Stampin' Up! business - join my team of Sparkly Angel's before 30th March and you can choose a stamp set of any value FREE!!

I would like to say a huge "Thank You to Margaret who hosted this swap in her home and surprised us all with a gorgeous buffet lunch she had kindly made before we arrived.

I will hopefully get the other projects I made photographed in the next few days and share them - there are some fabulous ideas!!

New Baby Card

This week I have been making a special card for the teachers at school to give to another teacher due to have her second baby quite soon!!

I have used a fabulous tutorial for this card from Laura who is also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you can find Laura's tutorial here.  I have made a few alterations to Laura's template as I needed to make the card with plenty of space for the all of teachers to leave a message.

This is a close up of the tag - I covered a chipboard letter with some Neutrals paper and then covered it with Crystal Effects to give a glossy finish, I added some metal charms from my stash.

This is the inside of the card, I have left this side un-decorated so a photograph of the new baby can be put inside. I have tied the main body of the card with some gorgeous velour ribbon to match the handle of the card.

All in the Family stamp set is a perfect choice for the front of the card, I used my Stamp-ma-Jig to line up the stamps to make a family picture and then coloured it with neutral Stampin' Up! marker pens. The sentiment is from the hostess exclusive set Swirls and Curls Verses in the Spring Mini Catalogue.

This is the inside of the card, I have added a few smaller stamped images punched and layered with the tag punches and a brad.

Philip went back to school today, he has been off with a middle ear infection - no chance of a quiet week next week as Darran has a weeks holiday planned to finally finish decorating the bed room?!

Easter Blossoms Class

I know 2 posts in 2 days......
I did schedule this one as I really wanted to share the lovely Easter cards I made for another class with a different group of ladies.  This is a contrast to the more Autumnal colours of yesterdays post as the colours are really pretty and spring like, perfect for some Easter cards.

The colours for the cards are Wisteria wonder, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink, Flirtatious designer papers.

I used Wisteria Wonder for the card base with Flirtatious paper,  the Whisper White panel was embossed with the Polka Dots folder, the eggs were stamped and cut out by hand, a gorgeous Whisper White satin bow and a sentiment makes this a quick card to complete.

The card base is So Saffron with some more of the Flirtatious papers, the doily is the reverse side of one one of the sheets of paper from this same pack - I thought it looked nice peeping out from under the silhouette of the girl. I added some satin ribbon with the sentiment layered with the oval punches and a small flower with a peal centre.

This is the card that "wowed" everyone - it was the quickest and simplest of them all but the pretty blossom stamp was definitely their favourite.  It was stamped on to Whisper White with Basic Grey ink and the blossoms were lightly coloured with a Pretty in Pink marker, a few tiny flowers were punched out with tiny pearls for the centre. The sentiment was layered up as before, the card base is Pretty in Pink.

I decided to order the Easter Blossoms stamp set to use in this class, I had held off buying it, as I have so many stamp sets waiting for ink I didn't think I needed it?!  How wrong was I. Everyone loved the cards we made and although it was not a stamp set they had planned to buy three of the ladies decided to buy it, so you never know, sometimes you need to look again!!

If you would like to order this stamp set, it is currently available in the Spring Mini Catalogue until 30th March, contact me to place your order before it's too late!!

French Foliage Class

Today I am finally sharing the cards I made for a class with a lovely group of ladies who asked to make some cards that would be suitable for men.  Now I don't have a need for many male cards and I was a little unsure about this one - all of the ladies loved the cards. so I had got it just right!!

I chose to use the French Foliage stamp set with Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and River Rock ink, randomly stamping the leaves in different colours.  I used the huge Wood Grain background stamp to complement the leaves. There was a little paper tearing on this card with some Soft Suede taffetta ribbon and Linen Thread.

This card was finished with some Cajun Craze paper from the Regals 12 x12 paper stack and some calico style ribbon.

The leaves were stamped and then punched out with the square punches - perfect when you need a quick card as there is no measuring!!!

For this card the leaves were stamped and cut out, with Linen Thread wrapped around the card.

The sentiments are from the Sincere Salutations stamp set, it is an excellent stamp set to have in your collection as there is a stamp for most occasions!

I just don't know where the time goes - life just seems so busy at the moment!!  I have Philip off school this week as he was sent home yesterday!  Lucy was off last week poorly, I had a car drive into the back of me and so many appointments with Philip that I have only just managed to find time to get my pictures edited!!!  I was hoping for a quieter week??????

There is still time to get your self some Sale-a-Bratoin freebies from Stampin' Up! you can read all about it here! Hopefully I will have time to share some projects using them soon.
