A Birthday Gift Set

Today I have another matching card and gift bag set, using some of the darker patterned papers from the Twitterpatted pack.  I used Basic Grey, Red Ridding Hood and Whisper White.

The flower is punched using the new Blossom punch available in the Summer mini catalogue, layered up with patterned paper and plain card, with a gorgeous Vintage brad for the centre. I embossed the Basic Grey card with the Vintage Wallpaper folder and added a few leaves cut with the Little Leaves sizzlit die.

The inside is decorated with flowers punched from the same patterned paper.

The gift bag is perfect for a small gift, I used a template available to buy from Becky Roberts here.

Here they are together.  Its my friends birthday this week so I just need to find the right gift to fit the handbag??!

I have another workshop on 30th June and still have a few places available - we will be using the Blossom punch in the class - contact me to book your place.

Bright Blossoms Class

This afternoon I had my second Stampin' Up! class of the week and spent a lovely afternoon with a different group of ladies, June is having a weekend away with her husband & yes we did miss her!!

The Bright Blossom stamp set is another NEW set from the Summer mini catalogue - this is a set that can be mixed and matched creating a lot of different designs.

I chose my colours for this class around the reverse side of the Nursery Nest 12 x12 papers -  Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzaz, Marina Mist and Whisper White with some rhinestones for a bit of bling!!

The stamps not only make a variety of modern flowers but they are perfect for stamping backgrounds on your cards.

This card uses several circle punches to layer up the design.

We added inserts to the cards and decorated them to match the card fronts.

Tea Shoppe Class

This morning I have had a class with a lovely group of ladies and we used the lovely new Tea Shoppe stamp set, this is a fabulous stamp set and very "English" too!!

I chose a pretty colour scheme of Pink Pirouette, Cherry Cobbler and Wisteria Wonder.

This is a really simple card to make, the background is scored with the NEW Diagonal Plate that fits over the the Stampin' Up! score board.

This was my favourite card, although a little fiddly with cutting out the flowers to add some dimension.

We made this box to fill with tea bags using a fabulous tutorial  you can find the details here. I think it would make a lovely gift with a nice tin of M&S biscuits.

We used some of the Flirtatious paper to make a rosette using the New score board, they are really quick & easy to make and are a special addition to any card or gift box.

I have another class on Saturday afternoon so I will share some different projects from that class at the weekend.

A late Class.....

This is a class I held a couple of weeks ago I have only just realised that I forgot to share the projects on my blog.

I used the gorgeous projects we made at a Stampin' Up! training day held by my upline Jules  in April.

The projects are stamped with the pretty Bordering on Romance stamp set and coloured with the Stampin' Up! marker pens.

We made this lovely gift bag that can hold several cards and envelopes.

I think everyone enjoyed colouring in the flowers, this is a lovely set to use if you like to colour images in.

I knew the colouring in would take quite a while to finish, so I showed the ladies the same bag made up with some Twitterpated designer paper.

I have two more classes this week so I will share the projects soon.

Leeds Training Swap

On Saturday I attended a training event in Leeds organised by Stampin' Up! and as usual when demonstrators gather we like to share our ideas and swap cards and projects.

I used the new hostess exclusive stamp set Pedal Presents from the summer Mini Catalogue. The image was coloured with Stampin' Up! marker pens, background clouds are sponged lightly in Bashful Blue ink using a scrap punched from a scallop circle punch, I spritzed the ground below the bike to give a light textured finish.  I used the Framelits die to cut the stamped image out and added a strip of embossed hearts with an Adorning Accent embossing folder (this is from a set of 3).

The colours for my swap are Chocolate Chip, certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Whisper White.

40th Birthday Card

I am often asked by the teachers at school to make special cards for them - this is one I made a few weeks ago.  I wasn't sure if this would be "too cute" and I made another one just in case - my Sister will be 40 in July, so now I have a card Lucy & Philip can give to her.

I chose the Every Little Bit stamp set as there are so many small images perfect for a card like this one. The base is Crumb Cake with Early Espresso, Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist and Very Vanilla, the images are coloured with the same colours using marker pens. Then the squares are punched out and I used a corner rounder punch before layering them up, I cut a "40" using the exclusive Timeless Type sizzix alphabet and I added Dazzling Diamonds for a bit of sparkle!!

Elegant Bird Swaps

A few weeks ago I spent a lovely day in Leeds at a training day organised by Jules. When ever demonstrators get together we like to swap ideas - this time there was the new Summer Mini Catalogue filled with fabulous products to choose from!!

I used the exclusive Stampin' Up! Elegant Bird die.  Lucy helped with cutting and embossing the wing with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, I used Confetti White card - it has flecks of colour in the card, the main body of the bird is stamped with the small flower from the Tea Shoppe stamp set and coloured with marker pens. The edges were lightly inked with Calypso Coral ink and I added a bow made with Pool Party seam binding.

I'm going to go and tidy my craft room this morning, as I have had some classes this week and things are piling up- I will get the projects photographed later this morning.

More Scrapbooking

As promised here is the other layout I made of Philip.  This picture was taken in Walt Disney Studios Park at the Stars n Cars Parade - we were fortunate to have separate area with wheelchair access to watch this fabulous parade, many of the characters came over and I quickly asked "Donald & Daisy" for a photo.

The colours are taken from the characters costumes - Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Rose Red and Whisper White. This layout is also for the In Love With Stamping Birthday Challenge - I used a sketch provided for this page.

I don't like too much fuss on my pages but I'm getting better at adding "journalling" directly on my layouts and I added a few punched circles, buttons and brads for accents.

I hope to start my scrapbooking classes again - I now have a lovely new venue to hold them at with plenty of space to work, so if you live close to me and would like to come along contact me to find out  more details.

Have A Nice Day

Today I have had a nice day scrapbooking!!!  There are so many pictures from our trip to Disneyland Paris last August just waiting to be scrapped.

This is a picture of Philip with Eyore during the early morning character breakfast we booked at Cafe Mickey in the Disney Village.

I used So Saffron, Basic Grey, Basic Black, Pacific Point and Whisper White card and papers for this layout. The chipboard stars are covered with So Saffron paper and Crystal Effects. The title is cut with the exclusive Stampin' Up! timeless Type alphabet - this layout is for the In Love With Stamping 4th Birthday Challenge - "song" - I did my page a little differently as I chose my photo and then scrolled through my i-pod to find a suitable song title "Have A Nice Day" by the Stereophonics.

I would have liked to have told you I had a nice day yesterday - well I did until we arrived back at my car parked in a side street in York to find it like this!!

We found a note from the police and the car not fit for the 50 mile drive home with two children, so an hour later we were on our way home on a break down truck!!

My car was hit by a horse and carriage tourist ride after the horse bolted - thankfully the driver had contacted the police & has public liability insurance.

So now back on to the insurance & hope I get a courtesy car soon while the repairs are carried out!!

I will be back tomorrow with another scrapbook page of Philip, I'm hoping to get some of Lucy with the princesses started tonight.

Celebration Workshop

On Saturday I had 2 sessions for my Celebration Workshop at a lovely new venue.
There are a lot of pictures for this one, so you might need a cuppa to keep you going!!

One of the main projects we made was this lovely mini album, made to look like a handbag.  This is not my own idea, Laura at Airing Cupboard Stamping made this one and has a lovely tutorial on her blog - you can find the details here.

The bag opens up to reveal two mini books that you can fill with photos and journalling.

In the kit everyone had a pack of the gorgeous crowns to add to their creations, along with half a pack of the Tickets & Tags Simply Scrappin' kit and some extra card and embellishments.

This is one of my books ready to be decorated.

The seam binding ribbon keeps the books in place when the bag is closed.

This is my second version of the bag, made into a card. I know some of the ladies are not really interested in scrapbooking, so I showed them how easy it is to make a secial Birthday card using the same template.

I added some bunting punched from the lovely papers in the kit, and a large flower sticker with a sentiment punched out,  a really quick and easy card to make.

I made a couple of cards with the kit for inspiration and this was one of the popular ones on the afternoon. A "window" was punched in the card with a scalloped frame for the crown to hang from, the crown can be easily taken off to be used.

I used a circle punch to make the bunting for this card, another quick card to make.

These cards are on 2" x 2" perfect for gift tags, made with some of the left over card. A box was made with the scallop square die to put them - another popular idea on Saturday!

I love making these little pouches, they are so quick and easy to do!!  I found some rock sweets with Union Jack's on them - perfect to go with my crowns!!

Everyone enjoyed the day, the new room is lovely and bright and as the sun was shinning we had the windows open, not sure what has happened since as it is so cold and not a glimpse of sunshine all week!!

I am now taking bookings for my next workshop 30th June - "How Does Your Garden Grow?" places are limited already!!!

New Summer Mini Catalogue

I hope that the days are brighter where you are than here???  It has been so cold and grey all week - so what better to brighten the day than the fabulous new Summer Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up!

This has to be our best mini catalogue so far, filled with so many lovely products. I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator as there are so many opportunities to earn FREE products.!!

I made both of these cards with the NEW Apothecary stamp set and the matching Stampin' Up! exclusive Labels Collection  framelits  dies (woohoo!!) they cut this gorgeous shape around the stamped images.

I love this beautiful paper Attic Boutique - there are some gorgeous designs.
I chose this one as it is very soft & delicate like the stamped image.  I coloured the flowers with Stampin' Up! marker pens. The shaped edge is cut with one of the NEW Stampin' Up! exclusive Adorning Accents Edglits dies. I added some gorgeous Victoria crochet trim and a antique brad.

I thought the roses on this image would work for a Christmas card (already?!) I embossed some Red Ridding Hood card with the Vintage Wallpaper folder, the next layer is Always Artichoke, with a few sparkly gems and a generous spritz of champagne shimmer paint. The sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set.

If you click on the link in my side bar it will take you to the PDF version of the NEW mini catalogue. I will be placing orders from the catalogues so if you would like to get your hands on some ot the gorgeous new prodcts contact me to place your order - delivery is just £4.95 direct to your door no matter where you live.

Today I was going on a school trip with Philip to Beamish (Brrrr) but he has come down with a sickness bug currently going around the school, so I have been kept busy looking after him, then at lunch time school phoned to let me know Lucy wasn't very well?!  It's probably better to let them have it at the same time and it would seem at least a third of the school is ill.  So I am using a few quiet minutes while Philip is asleep to blog, then its back to the washing & ironing!!!!!
