I used my nesties for the circles for the ABC challenge ( I changed the rectangle from the sketch to a circle as I thought it suited my stamped image better). I did cheat a little with my torn edges and used my fiskars fancy edged ruler, I just can't help being neat!! I used lots of small gems for my "bling" for the Whiff of Joy challenge. Papers are BG Pheobe & Archaic.

Going to try and get another card made ready for tomorrow, I coloured a few images last night so they are ready to put together, I just need to find the papers to match, I usually colour my images then choose papers, It works for me most of the time!!

I have made this card for the following challenges,

Basic Grey Challenge 2 "pink, yellow, brown"

I have followed the fab tutorial by Debby, at Just Magnolia Monthly Challenges to make a 3D stamped image, coloured with promarkers, glossy accents, papers are BG lemonade, fiskars border punch, retro flower punch, buttons, ribbon, sentiment is craftwork cards.

I stamped several images colouring the extra pieces I needed to build up the layers and cutting them out, it is quite time consuming but the effect is worth it. The colours from Basic Grey Lemonade are perfect for this weeks challenge, My card is inspired by my favourite things cute Magnolia Tilda stamps and the colour pink for the Pollycraft Challenge.

Think I need to iron tonight :( so no cards tonight, I have been staying up late crafting and need to get back into a routine as this won't help those stressful school mornings!! Only 2 weeks left of the holidays, Lucy is looking forward to being with her friends again, Philip will start nursery sometime in september as we managed to get full time support to help him get around!! I will get some time for myself at last!!!

Design team call for Your Next Stamp!!

Your Next Stamp is a new company selling the cutest stamps, and they are looking for a design team to promote their new stamp designs.

They are looking for creativity and originality, colouring abilities, willingness to display challenges and other information about Your Next Stamp, and great pictures of work produced. In return you will recieve regular design team stamps and discount throughout your design team membership.

The design team call is open untill 28th August, click here to go to the blog.
Good Luck!!

You need to create a post showing 2 of you best cards, at the moment I think these are my favourites, both are quite recent but I love the colouing and the details have shown up well in the photographs.

1. Annika form The greeting Farm coloured with promarkers, I like the simplicity of this design , and the boldness of the Annika stamp.

2.C.C Designs Swiss Pixies coloured again with promarkers, I have made the little punched flowers in her wheelbarrow, I love these colours. (This card was chosen for the top 5 at passion for promarkers)

Thanks for stopping by,

Double Challenge .....

There is a great new sketch this week at Just Magnolia week 19 by super talented Rach, which I have combined with Stampin' for the Weekend challenge 12 colours "pink and grey". I have moved the sentiment to the circle at the bottom and added a bow with a charm.

I have used Sweetheart Tilda coloured with shimmer paints, watercolour pencils and promarkers, papers are BG Perhaps which were just perfect for this challenge, DCWV cardstock, nesties, swiss dots and snowflakes embossing folders, ribbon, charm, and embossed circle with greeting from craftwork cards.

It is another Christmas card, I keep sneaking them in, slowly my stash of Christmas cards is building up. I am quite pleased how well the colours have worked for a Christmas card, it gives a fresh modern look as I do tend to go for more traditional colours.

TOP 5 WEEK 12, STAMPIN FOR THE WEEKEND!!

Magnolia-licious Tricks and Treats Blog Hop .....

This week there is a great blog hop over at Magnolia-licious, with some great Halloween projects made by the very talented design team, with some gorgeous candy hidden along the way!!

I don't have any of the Magnolia Halloween stamps so I thought as Tilda is all wrapped up I would colour her for a chilly Halloween night and make a spooky background!! I have made this origami box from two sheets of 12x12 card and have filled it with some sweeties (don't think they will last long!!), wrapping a strip of design paper and ribbon around the sides to bring a bit more colour to the project.

Tilda is coloured with promarkers, DCWV card stock, Doodlebug paper and ribbon, nesties, swiss dots embossing folder, glossy accents, stickles stardust gliter glue, sakura stardust pen. I have used my lovely new Waltzing Mouse Halloween Party stamp set to make the spooky background and the tag on the side of the box, adding glossy accents and gems to the mask, Claire has some lovely stamp sets that she has designed herself and they are excellent quality and value too!!
I have spent the day cleaning windows, not very exciting but then I came in to find out what is happening in blog land (I'm totally addicted now!!) to find I have won a set of stamps from Claire at Waltzing Mouse!! (Big smile!!) I also got the top five again this week at Passion for Promarkers week 12!!?
Hope youre having a good weekend, thanks for stopping by,

Passion for Promarkers Tutorial .....

Every weekend there are tutorials at the Passion for Promarkers blog, they are excellent, full of advice and tips for using your promarker pens.

The weekend workshop #11 has a candle tutorial by Gina, so I thought I would give it a go.

I must admit that the candle did get slightly over heated, I dont mind it was just a first attempt but I think this has so many possibilities and another way of using stamps.

I am never one to start simple, I enjoy a challenge, I used Tilda with candy cane, stamped on to a paper tissue with memento ink and very lightly coloured with promarkers, the ink does bleed quite easily so its best to go gently, then cut around the image, place it on the candle wrapping a piece of greaseproof paper around and heating with a heat gun until the image has set into the wax.

You can get the step by step instructions and pictures here.

Gayle has some fabby candy to giveaway from her recent CHA trip, theres a link on my side bar, to go and have a look!!

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 17 .....

The new challenge at The Sugar Bowl is an excellent sketch by Judy, with the please include option of handmade flowers. There is a full set of the brand new autumn release stamp from
Sugar Nellie they are soo sweet, you can see them here.

I have used my Hug in a Mug stamp from Sugar Nellie, coloured with promarkers, I just cant stop using them!! The paper is K & Co Sparkly Sweet, core'dinations card stock, nestabilities swiss dots embossing folder, gems, sakura stardust pen.

My hand made flowers for the "please include option" are made by layering a small flower punch, a snowflake punch, a tiny daisy punch with a gem for the centre.

It is my birthday in a couple of weeks, so I thought I would put some candy together to celebrate, and to say thank you to all the wonderful people who stop by to visit me!!
Look out for it in the next couple of days!!

Winter Wonderland Week 11 .....

This week the challenge at Winter Wonderland is "Twinkle, Sparkle". Well I just love glitter and all things sparkly so this is just the perfect challenge for me!!

I have used a Santa stamp from a Habico set, coloured his face lightly with chalks, sakura stardust pen for the frame of his glasses and glossy accents for the lens, stickles stardust glitter glue on the snowflakes and his beard. I have used DCWV silver glitter card stock, the picture doesn't show just how sparkly this is!! DCWV metalic card stock, PM ribbon which of course is also glittery, charm gems.

I'm off out for a girls night, leaving the children at home, a peaceful nights sleep gauranteed!! The only downside, no crafting!!

Hope you have s good weekend whatever you're doing, thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx

Two Challenges .....

I have combined two challenges for this card,

Allsorts Challenge week 13 is Gro's challenge, "vintage", the winner will recieve 6 promarkers (my favourite!!).

Basic Grey Challenges are back, this week there is a sketch by Tara G, its a really great sketch to follow, they are not offering weekly prizes, instead 5 lucky people chosen at random from this challenge will go through to the monthly prize drawing which has been sponsored by sponsor Simon Says Stamp.

I have used Baisic Grey Archaic papers and element stickers, Edwin coloured with promarkers, PM cardstock, ribbon, gems, rub on, brad, brown ink pad. I have inked the edges of the papers with a brown ink pad and used a distressing tool on some of the layers to give a worn look.
I thought the muted shades of greens and browns along with the distressing gave the card a worn vintage look.

I will be back later with another card, thanks for stopping by,

Creatalicious Challlenge Design Team Call ......

This is the card that I have made for the Bizzy Bec's Creatalicious Challenges design team call. This is a new challenge starting on 15th August and they are currently looking for 2 more members to join the design team. I have not joined any on-line design teams so this is a great oppourtunity to try, you never know??

I have used Tilda from the spring collection, coloured again with promarkers, they are now my favourite colouring medium, when the shadiing turns out right I can have an image coloured in no time at all!! I have ued glossy accents on her shoes, flower soft for her lilac sprays, copic spica glitter pen for her ribbons in her hair, sparkly dew drops, paper roses, the papers are K & Co McKenna, DCWV cardstock.

Internet is still playing up, so now I am using Lucy's notebook and I have no software to crop and edit the photo?? Arrgh!! I'm off to bed now, another late one!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 16 .....

This week there is a great sketch by Marlene at the Sugar Bowl, with the "please include" option of doodling on your card. There is the most fantastic prize on offer this week - a pick and mix of 6 Sugar Nellie stamps!! Wow!!

I have stamped Sugar Nellie Hug in a Mug, (she was one of my first Sugar Nellie stamps) I have coloured here with watercolour pencils and added some sparkle to her mug with my sakura stardust pen. The papers are BG Urban Prairie, fiskars border punch, nestabilities, ribbon, rub on.

That was the easy part, now the doodling!! I tried on a few scraps before I was happy with the doodling, I used brown and pink fine liner pens to draw faux stitiching around the card and the strip, then I did a line around the nestie, and a pink dot with brown dashes in the scallops. So not too much doodling, think I should have used a less patterned paper.

Having problems tonight with the internet again!! I have to keep changing computers just to stay connected!! It's such a pain and so time consuming!! I have finished my other card I just need to e-mail it tonight, fingers crossed!!

I have been to the Passion for Pomarkers challenge to get the new sketch tonight and found that my card had been chosen for the top 5!! I am so excited!!

Need to go and pack ready for tomorrow so that we can get away early??? Will be back at the weekend to see what you have been up to!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Angela xx

This is my first post tonight, managed to make two cards last night, and Ihave another to finish putting together, I'm trying to get ahead as we are going away for a couple of days. Just Magnolia Challenge 16 .....

This week the challenge at Just Magnolia is "Distressing". This is not something I would usually make though I did enjoy finding ways to give my card a distressed look!! I do prefer a nice neat look not too fussy either, I think its because I'm a virgo!!

When I colour this Tilda its always in pretty summer colours, this is an extremely different look for her. I have used the cool grey promarkers 1-5, and black with stardust pen for a little sparkle. The card is DCWV, I have used the cuttlebug paisley embossing folder sanded then used metalic rub ons in silver over the top, (they have not seen the light of day for many years!!). The light grey has been distressed with my PM distrssing tool and inked around the edges with silver and black ink pads. I have drawn faux stitching around the stamped piece and pierced holes to give more depth, then inked the endges first with black and then a little silver to lighten it. The buttons were cut off some old clothes (I do remeber sometimes to keep the pretty buttons) and the rub on is from my stash.

I'm still taking things slowly, feeling a little better today, the sun was out no rain!!!

Hope you have had a lovely weekend and some good weather!!
